摘要: An automatic braking system of a vehicle includes an auxiliary braking device at at least two wheels of the vehicle. A controller is operable to control the auxiliary braking devices responsive to an input from a brake fluid pressure sensor and an input from a brake pedal position sensor. Responsive to the inputs being indicative of a brake pedal of the vehicle being applied and a brake fluid pressure of brake fluid of a hydraulic brake system of the vehicle being below a threshold level for the degree of application of the brake pedal, the controller determines that there is at least a partial failure of the hydraulic brake system of the vehicle and controls the auxiliary braking devices to slow down the vehicle.

摘要: A vehicle is provided. The vehicle includes a vehicle system. The vehicle system includes a brake-by-wire portion, which also includes a controller. The controller can cause a forced coastdown of the vehicle. The forced coastdown includes performing analyzing conditions of the vehicle system to determine whether the vehicle is in a stable state and to determine an amount of energy available to the vehicle system and automatically applying the forced coastdown when the vehicle is not in the stable state and the amount of energy is less than or equal to a threshold for continued manual operation of the vehicle. The forced coastdown also includes utilizing brake pressure to reduce a speed of the vehicle.

摘要: An electric brake system includes at least a pair of braking apparatuses each configured to advance a piston for pressing a frictional member against a rotational member rotatable together with a wheel and configured to press the frictional member against the rotational member with use of an electric mechanism according to a braking request signal and hold a pressing force of the frictional member. The electric brake system further includes a control apparatus configured to control the electric mechanism of each of the brake apparatuses and diagnose the failed state in which an abnormality has occurred in each of the brake apparatuses according to the braking request signal. The control apparatus is configured to, when any one of the brake apparatuses is diagnosed as being in the failed state, prohibit the electric mechanism of the one of the brake apparatuses from operating while the vehicle is running.

摘要: In a system including a reservoir tank RSV integral with a master cylinder M/C, an inlet fluid passage 16 for connecting an inlet portion 22 of a pump P to the reservoir tank RSV, a pressure reducing fluid passage 32 that connects the inlet fluid passage 16 to wheel cylinders W/C and a normally closed pressure reducing vale 30 that is connected to the pressure reducing fluid passage 32 and opened when it is intended to depressurize a brake fluid to in the wheel cylinders thereby to return the brake fluid to the reservoir tank through the inlet fluid passage 16, there is employed a normally closed reservoir shutting valve 31 that is connected to the pressure reducing valve 30 in series with respect to the wheel cylinders W/C and the reservoir tank RSV.

摘要: A brake control device capable of preventing a braking force from being excessive when information cannot be transmitted between a first control unit configured to control operation of a boost mechanism and a second control unit configured to control operation of a hydraulic control mechanism. When a second ECU (32) cannot transmit information to a first ECU (26) due to a disconnection of a signal line (27), the second ECU carries out backup control of detecting a braking operation amount of a driver based on signal input from hydraulic pressure sensors (29), and operating a hydraulic pressure supply device (30) based on the detected braking operation amount, to thereby pressurize insides of wheel cylinders. In this case, the second ECU decreases a pressurization amount of a pressure inside the wheel cylinders when a pressure of a master cylinder (8) exceeds a predetermined value (PM0) during the backup control.

摘要: One embodiment provides a solenoid valve. The solenoid valve includes a fixed core, a movable core and a coil. A first valve seat member and a second valve seat member are fixed in the fixed core, and a valve body member is disposed therebetween. A spring member is interposed between the valve body member and the second valve seat member such that the valve body member is normally seated on the first valve seat member. The valve body member can move away from the first valve seat member to be seated on the second valve seat member, by being pushed by the movable core. And, a guide member holds the valve body member and the spring member to the second valve seat member so as not to move away from the second valve seat member.

Each of the brake mechanisms has a friction-receiving member that rotates together with the wheel; and a friction-applying member that moves while being powered by an electric actuator, and obtains the braking force by pressing the friction-applying member against the friction-receiving member.
