Abstract: Techniques are provided for utilizing positioning reference signals (PRS) in full duplex scenarios. An example method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a positioning reference signal in a time slot, wherein the positioning reference signal spans a first frequency bandwidth, transmitting a signal in a second frequency bandwidth during the time slot, wherein the second frequency bandwidth includes frequencies within the first frequency bandwidth, and processing the positioning reference signal received in the first frequency bandwidth excluding the frequencies in the second frequency bandwidth.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a cell punctures resource(s) allocated to transmission of UL or DL PRS(s). The cell communicates (e.g., receives or transmits) UL or DL higher-priority signal(s) on the punctured resource(s), and communicates the UL or DL PRS(s) on the non-punctured resource(s). In another embodiment, a second cell neighboring a first cell schedules and transmits the UL or DL higher-priority signal(s) on part of the first cell's PRS resource(s). In another embodiment, the first cell receives an indication of the UL or DL higher-priority signal(s) scheduled for transmission by the second cell, and punctures its PRS resource(s) to reduce interference on the second cell's UL or DL higher-priority signal(s). In a further embodiment, a UE receives an indication of puncturing and selectively modifies its PRS processing on the punctured resource(s).

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for transmitting and processing reference signals for positioning estimation over a multipath multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel. In aspects, a first node configures first and second reference signal resource sets for transmission of first and second sets of reference signals, wherein the first and second reference signal resource sets occur on first and second subbands of, and/or during first and second time intervals on, the MIMO channel, wherein each reference signal resource in the first and second reference signal resource sets utilize at least first and second MIMO precoders, and transmits, to a second node over the MIMO channel, the first and second sets of reference signals, wherein the first node transmits the first and second sets of reference signals to assist the second node to perform a positioning measurement based on joint processing of the first and second sets of reference signals.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, on a particular control resource set (CORESET), downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The UE may be configured with multi-DCI based multi-transmission/reception point (TRP) operation. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the UE being configured with multi-DCI based multi-TRP operation, a fixed higher layer index that identifies a CORESET group with which the particular CORESET is associated. The UE may perform an operation, associated with receiving the PDSCH or transmitting the PUSCH, based at least in part on the fixed higher layer index identifying the CORESET group with which the particular CORESET is associated. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that support beam failure determination based on a dynamic range of transmission power ratios between two reference signals (e.g., between a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH)). A wireless device may identify the dynamic range of transmission power ratios that may be used by a base station (e.g., via indications of maximum and minimum transmission power ratios, indications of one or more offsets from some average transmission power ratio, etc. sent from the base station). The wireless device may use the identified dynamic range of transmission power ratios, along with a CSI-RS measurement, to determine a range of hypothetical block error rates (BLERs). Values within the range of hypothetical BLERs may be compared to a threshold in order to determine a beam failure status (e.g., a beam failure).

A method for wireless communications by wireless node is provided. The method generally includes encoding a set of information bits based on a LDPC code to produce a code word, the LDPC code defined by a matrix having a first number of variable nodes and a second number of check nodes, puncturing the code word to produce a punctured code word, wherein the puncturing is performed according to a first puncturing pattern designed to puncture bits corresponding to one or more of the variable nodes having a certain degree of connectivity to the check nodes, and transmitting the punctured code word.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for determining the location of an object using RF sensing. More specifically, an object may be detected in a wireless data communication network using radar techniques in which one or more base stations act as a transmitter and a mobile device (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) acts as a receiver in a bistatic or multi-static radar configuration. By comparing the time a line-of-sight (LOS) signal is received by the mobile device with that of an echo signal from a reflection of an RF signal from the object, a position of the object can be determined. Depending on desired functionality, this position can be determined by the UE, or by a network entity.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station (BS), an indication of a random access (RA) channel (RACH) preamble. The RACH preamble is a member of a first set of RACH preambles reserved for positioning purposes, the first set of RACH preambles is different from a second set of RACH preambles reserved for communication purposes, and the first and second sets of RACH preambles are associated with the BS. The UE detects, while in a radio resource control (RRC) idle or RRC inactive state, a positioning event. The UE transmits, to the BS, the RACH preamble. The UE receives, from the BS, a RA response for positioning purposes that is different from a RA response for communication purposes, the RA response for positioning purposes including a random access preamble identifier that is mapped to the RACH preamble.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a serving cell, an uplink positioning reference signal (UL-PRS) resource configuration, the UL-PRS resource configuration comprising a plurality of N resource elements (REs) staggered in frequency across a plurality of M consecutive symbols of a resource block (RB) such that the plurality of N REs spans a plurality of N consecutive subcarriers of the RB, receives, from the serving cell, an indication of a PRS symbol cancelation group to be used for uplink cancelation, the PRS symbol cancelation group identifying a set of the plurality of M consecutive symbols that is expected to be canceled for uplink transmission, and cancels transmission of UL-PRS on one or more of the set of L symbols identified by the PRS symbol cancelation group.
