Abstract: Disclosed herein is an accurate and efficient, yet non-obtrusive system and method (using same) for detecting interpersonal touch, such as a high-five, which is prevalent in people's daily lives, so as to promote everyday interactions at diverse settings. Based on ubiquitous computing technology, one embodiment of the system for detecting interpersonal touch comprises a pre-motion filter for filtering a pre-motion prior to the interpersonal touch, a sensor for sensing electrical properties of skin, an evaluator for analyzing and determining the interpersonal touch based on the pre-motion and the electrical properties of skin, and a communicator for communicating information analyzed by the evaluator. Other embodiments are described and shown.

An apparatus for controlling wireless power transmission includes a controller configured to determine an output voltage of a power factor correction unit based on charging information of a battery, the power factor correction unit configured to correct an input voltage into the determined output voltage, and output a variable voltage, and a resonance unit configured to transmit power converted from the variable voltage to a wireless power reception apparatus.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for preparing a multi-level pore zeolite, including: (A) a step of mixing a silicon precursor, an aluminum precursor, a phosphorus precursor, a structure directing agent and water; a step of (B) adding phenylphosphonic acid, carbon black or a mixture thereof to the mixture prepared in the step (A) and mixing the same; a step of (C) crystallizing the mixture prepared in the step (B) by heat-treating the same; and a step of (D) calcining the crystallization product, and utilization of the prepared multi-level pore zeolite as a catalyst for hydroisomerization of normal paraffins. The catalyst exhibits improved isoparaffin yield when it is used as a catalyst for hydroisomerization of normal paraffins such as diesel or lube base oil by supporting an active metal component because residence time of reactants and products in the zeolite crystals are decreased due to mesopores and the proportion of external acid sites to total acid sites is low. Also, cloud point and pour point are effectively improved and high hydroisomerization reactivity is achieved without product loss.

Abstract: A class-D amplifier includes an error amplification circuit, a duty signal generator, a level selection circuit, a driver and control block and an output stage. The class-D amplifier divides peal levels of an error signal into multi-level and changes a scheme for modulating the error signal when the error signal crosses each level boundary of the multi-level thereby to have an effect such as the error signal is folded. Therefore, the class-D amplifier drives output nodes with multi-level and thus the class-D amplifier may increasing efficiency while reducing EMI.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a microstrip circuit and a chip-to-chip interface apparatus comprising the same. According to one aspect of the invention, there is provided a microstrip circuit. The microstrip circuit includes a feeding line providing a signal, a probe being connected to one end of the feeding line, and a patch emitting the signal to a waveguide. The patch is disposed in a layer opposite to a layer in which the feeding line and the probe are disposed, with a core substrate being positioned therebetween. At least one of length of the probe, thickness of the core substrate, and permittivity of the core substrate is determined based on bandwidth of a transition between the microstrip circuit and the waveguide.

Abstract: A hard panel of wall and floor structures for reducing floor impact sound according to example embodiments includes patterned layer having different density and elastic modulus form a base layer. A transmission path of an acoustic wave may be changed in a lateral direction by passing the patterned layer and the sound energy is dissipated by the refection, refraction, and cancellation of the acoustic wave. Thus, a noise is reduced.The hard panel of the wall and floor structures according to example embodiments is effectively reduces the light and heavy impact sounds. In addition, the hard panel is formed by at least one patterned layer to refract and reflect the acoustic wave such that the floor noise may be effectively dissipated. The hard panel is further includes the sound absorbing material to absorb the noise passing through the hard panel such that the floor noise can be effectively reduced.

Abstract: For wireless power transfer, an energy field is formed by a power transmitter in a space near a transmission coil to provide a transmission power in the space of the energy field. A transferred power is receiver by a power receiver through a reception coil in the space of the energy field. An amount of the transferred power is reduced by the power receiver by performing a regulating operation using a switching frequency when the transferred power is excessive. The power transmitter detects a switching frequency signal having the switching frequency that is induced in the transmission coil when the power receiver performs the regulating operation. The power transmitter controls adjustment of the transmission power in response to the detection of the switching frequency signal. The transmission power is adjusted without a data communication for adjustment of the transmission power between the power transmitter and the power receiver.
