Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive a configuration message with a configured grant for a plurality of uplink transmissions. The user equipment may transmit, using a first demodulation reference signal port, a first transmission, of the plurality of uplink transmissions, associated with the configured grant. The user equipment may transmit, using a second demodulation reference signal port that is different from the first demodulation reference signal port, a second transmission, of the plurality of uplink transmissions, associated with the configured grant. Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) history feedbacks are provided. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a control signal indicating a resource allocation for either an uplink transmission or a downlink transmission. The UE may identify, based at least in part on a modulation and coding scheme indicated in the control signal, an aggregation factor of the uplink transmission or the downlink transmission. The UE may communicate with the base station by either transmitting the uplink transmission or receiving the downlink transmission in accordance with the resource allocation and the aggregation factor.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) schemes to improve the likelihood that information is received correctly over a wireless communications link. In HARQ, when a transmitting device determines that a receiving device failed to successfully decode a transmission of information, the transmitting device may retransmit the information to the receiving device. In some cases, HARQ techniques may be used for communications associated with different types of services. In such cases, to keep the latency of communications within a latency budget for a particular type of service, wireless devices may utilize the techniques described herein to dynamically terminate HARQ retransmissions. For instance, a transmitting device may avoid retransmitting information when an amount of time that has elapsed since an original transmission of the information has exceeded the latency budget.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to techniques for puncturing of structured low density parity check (LDPC) codes. A method for wireless communications by wireless node is provided. The method generally includes encoding a set of information bits based on a LDPC code to produce a code word, the LDPC code defined by a matrix having a first number of variable nodes and a second number of check nodes, puncturing the code word to produce a punctured code word, wherein the puncturing is performed according to a first puncturing pattern designed to puncture bits corresponding to one or more of the variable nodes having a certain degree of connectivity to the check nodes, and transmitting the punctured code word.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for using orthogonal demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) for downlink control channels in wireless communications systems. In an aspect, a method for a user equipment (UE) includes receiving one or more DMRSs over a multi-symbol downlink control channel. The method may further include identifying a time-first control channel element (CCE)-to-resource element group (REG) mapping for the multi-symbol downlink control channel, and identifying an orthogonal DMRS of the one or more DMRSs based on the time-first CCE-to-REG mapping, and decoding the multi-symbol downlink control channel based on at least the identified orthogonal DMRS.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for a transmitter (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or base station) and receiver (e.g., a UE or base station) to transmit and receive data packets that are encoded according to an outer coding technique. The outer coding technique may provide for data bits and parity bits to be included in a single physical layer transmission. In some cases, data packets (e.g., data bits) may be segmented into multiple subpackets, and coding may be performed across different subpackets of different data packets (e.g., in a diagonal coding pattern). In some examples, each transmission in the physical layer may contain both data subpackets and parity subpackets, which may balance an input and an output load of a buffer (e.g., a layer two (L2) decoding buffer at the receiver) during decoding.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems support mobile broadband (MBB) communications and low latency communications. To accommodate low latency communications, a base station may identify resources allocated for MBB communications, and the base station may reassign (or puncture) these resources for low latency communications. The base station may transmit an indication of the reassigned (or punctured) resources to one or more user equipment (UEs). The base station may transmit an indication of the reassigned resources in a transmission time interval (TTI) that is subsequent to a TTI reassigned (or punctured) for low latency communications (e.g., a post indication). The base station may transmit the post indication in a retransmission grant of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or in downlink control information (DCI) of a PDCCH.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide improved repetition techniques for autonomous uplink transmissions. Configuration information may be provided from a base station to a user equipment (UE) for autonomous uplink transmissions, that may indicate initial resources for an initial uplink transmission slot and retransmission resources for a number of retransmissions. Time resources within the retransmission resources may be configured to provide enhanced reliability, such as by being configured in non-contiguous slots to avoid one or more other transmission channels. Time resources within slots may also be configured to prevent persistent collisions with autonomous uplink transmissions or retransmissions of two or more different UEs.
