Abstract: Methods and systems for enhancing viewing experience of a spectator includes receiving a request for viewing game play of a video game executing at a game cloud server. Responsive to the request, the spectator is initially provided with one of a player camera view or an active spectator camera view generated for the game play. The system dynamically switches between the player camera view and the active spectator camera view based on context of action occurring in the player camera view and the active spectator camera view. The dynamic switching correlates with time of action occurring in the game scene of the video game.

Abstract: A trained machine learning model(s) is used to determine scores indicative of probabilities that certain types of user input will be provided to a player's game controller while playing a video game in order to compensate for latency between player action and player perception of video game content relating to the player action. In an example process, sensor data received from a client machine and/or game state data received from a video game is provided as input to a trained machine learning model(s), and a score as output therefrom, the score relating to a probability that a type of user input will be provided to a player's game controller. In this manner, game control data corresponding to the type of user input can be generated based on the score and provided to the video game as input before actual game control data is even received, thereby compensating for latency.

Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus for game play using virtual players, sometimes referred to herein as vBots, where they may have images including those of real world personalities, such as sports personalities, is disclosed. In one aspect, a system for electronic game play involves the use of the system wherein one or more virtual players are displayed to the player of the game, preferably, the virtual players have differing play characteristics, receiving from the user association with a selection of a virtual player, displaying a simulated game using the virtual players, identifying a subset of the virtual players as being winners of the simulated game, and awarding a win to the lottery user if the selected virtual player is in the subset of virtual players. In one aspect, a team may be formed in which real life sports personalities images are utilized.

Abstract: This application is directed to a method of managing processing capability of a server system having one or more processing cores that further include multiple processing slices. Upon receiving requests to initiate online gaming sessions, the server system allocates each processing slice of the processing cores to a subset of the online gaming sessions to be executed thereon. A first processing slice is allocated to a first subset of the online gaming sessions including a first gaming session and a second gaming session. At the first processing slice, a time-sharing processing schedule is determined for the first subset of the online gaming sessions. In accordance with the time-sharing processing schedule, the first and second gaming sessions share a duty cycle of the first processing slice, and are executed dynamically and in parallel according to real-time data processing need of the first and second gaming sessions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing latency through motion estimation and compensation techniques are disclosed. The systems and methods include a client device that uses transmitted lookup tables from a remote server to match user input to motion vectors, and tag and sum those motion vectors. When a remote server transmits encoded video frames to the client, the client decodes those video frames and applies the summed motion vectors to the decoded frames to estimate motion in those frames. In certain embodiments, the systems and methods generate motion vectors at a server based on predetermined criteria and transmit the generated motion vectors and one or more invalidators to a client, which caches those motion vectors and invalidators. The server instructs the client to receive input from a user, and use that input to match to cached motion vectors or invalidators. Based on that comparison, the client then applies the matched motion vectors or invalidators to effect motion compensation in a graphic interface. In other embodiments, the systems and methods cache repetitive motion vectors at a server, which transmits a previously generated motion vector library to a client. The client stores the motion vector library, and monitors for user input data. The server instructs the client to calculate a motion estimate from the input data and instructs the client to update the stored motion vector library based on the input data, so that the client applies the stored motion vector library to initiate motion in a graphic interface prior to receiving actual motion vector data from the server. In this manner, latency in video data streams is reduced.

Abstract: A method for gaming assistance. Information relating to game plays of player for a gaming application is received at a back-end server. A current game context of a first game play of a first player is determined from the information. Historical expert game contexts of expert game plays of experts that have played the gaming application are determined from the information. An assistance query related to the first game play is received. The current game context of the first player is compared to the historical expert game contexts to determine at least one expert having a corresponding historical expert game context that matches the first game context. A first expert is assigned to the first player for obtaining assistance. A communication session is generated between a device of the first expert and a device of the first player to enable the first expert to render assistance to the first player.
