摘要: Various arrangements of smart devices and systems are presented. Such smart devices and systems may include a wireless interface, a light sensor that detects an ambient brightness level of an ambient environment of the smart device, a motion sensor that detects motion of a user in the ambient environment of the smart device, a light that is capable of outputting light into the ambient environment of the smart device, and a processing system. The processing system may cause the light to illuminate based on: the message indicating that the lighting feature has been activated; the ambient brightness level being below the threshold brightness value; and the user moving in the ambient environment of the smart device or system.

摘要: An image of at least a portion of a room may be received, the image of the room comprising an image of a sensor mounted in the room. At least one optical parameter related to the image of the room may also be received. A distance may be determined between the sensor and a camera that captured the image of the room, wherein the determination of the distance is based at least in part on the optical parameters and on known physical dimensions of the sensor. A sensitivity requirement of the sensor may be determined, based on the distance. The determined sensitivity may be sent to control logic of the sensor.

摘要: A method for providing an alarm for a window comprises calculating a first distance between a detector mounted within a movable portion of the window and a window frame edge and calculating a second distance between the detector and the window frame edge. The method further comprises determining whether the movable portion of the window has remained stationary for more than a predetermined time period based on the first distance and the second distance and, if the movable portion has remained stationary for more than the predetermined time period, storing the second distance in a memory, placing the security apparatus into an active alarm state, calculating a third distance observed by the detector, determining a change between the third distance and the second distance, determining whether the change exceeds a predetermined distance, and generating an alarm signal if the change exceeds the predetermined distance.

摘要: A device includes a controller. An input is coupled to the controller, the input having a set of wires to couple to a doorbell to receive an AC signal when the doorbell is actuated. An analog to digital converter is coupled to the input to convert the received AC signal to a digital signal and coupled to the controller to provide the digital signal to the controller. A transmitter is coupled to the controller to wirelessly transmit signals from the controller representative to actuation of the doorbell. An enclosure contains the controller, input, analog to digital converter and transmitter and has an opening to provide a passage outside the enclosure for the set of wires. The controller may be programmable via an optical signal and may provide alerts responsive to a temperature sensor.
