摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for automatically adjusting, by an audio device, the SPL of its audio output. As described herein, the SPL is adjusted based on detected ambient noise. According to aspects, audio device iteratively adjusts the SPL based on the ambient noise. According to aspects, the SPL is adjusted to be greater than the ambient noise by a threshold SPL amount. According to aspects, the audio device outputs sound in substantially a first direction and the microphone detects sound substantially outside of the first direction. The adjusted sounds are output by the audio device.

摘要: The operational amplifier disclosed includes an input stage configured to receive power from a floating supply circuit in in a low voltage range that can float according to the common mode voltage at the input. The low voltage supply facilitates the use of low voltage components that can improve the precision of the operational amplifier by lowering the offset voltage. The input stage utilizes a first gain block and a second gain block. The first gain block is configured to have a low offset voltage while the second gain h block is configured to have a high gain. Dividing these aspects over separate gain blocks improves the precision and noise performance of the operational amplifier. The operational amplifier has high gain at low frequencies and at high frequencies due to a topology that combines a low gain, high bandwidth path with a high gain, low bandwidth path at the output.

The decision-directed gain smoothing comprises converting the raw gain to a signal-to-noise ratio, applying a smoothing filter with a smoothing factor to the signal-to-noise ratio to calculate a smoothed signal-to-noise ratio, and converting the smoothed signal-to-noise ratio to determine the second smoothed gain, with smoothing factor possibly dependent on the gain delta.

摘要: The technology described in this document can be embodied in a method that includes receiving an input signal captured by one or more sensors associated with an active noise reduction (ANR) headphone, and determining one or more characteristics of a first portion of the input signal. Based on the one or more characteristics of the first portion of the input signal, a gain of a variable gain amplifier (VGA) disposed in an ANR signal flow path can be adjusted, and accordingly, a set of coefficients for a tunable digital filter disposed in the ANR signal flow path can be selected. The method further includes processing a second portion of the input signal in the ANR signal flow path using the adjusted gain and selected set of coefficients to generate a second output signal for the electroacoustic transducer of the ANR headphone.
