Abstract:
Described is an apparatus for the production of transversely ribbed tubes, comprising mold jaw halves which are circulatingly moved in a condition of bearing against each other along two endless guide paths by means of a respective associated drive device, wherein the two guide paths have a common mold sections, a respective return section and two respective direction-changing sections. The respective direction-changing section has a direction-changing member provided with an arcuate guide edge. The guide paths along the common mold section and along the return sections have elongate wearing elements Comprising a low-wear plastic material, which are exchangeably provided on a base arrangement of the apparatus.
Abstract:
A blow mold (1) for a stretching machine or a glass blowing machine, comprising two mold halves (3, 4) which are pivotably connected by at least one connecting pin (2), and a shutting device and locking device in the form of a closing clamp (7) which can be slid directly onto the mold halves (3, 4) from the side of the connecting pin (2). The mold halves (3, 4) are closed around the connecting pin (2) by the sliding, pressing contact of the closing clamp (7) and in the closed position, are pressed against each other without a gap, resulting in a mechanically simple, space-saving blow mold (1).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to skeletal reconstruction cages and a method of providing variable fit for a skeletal reconstruction cage. The skeletal reconstruction cages include a central body having first and second ends, a first end cap coupled to one end of the central body, and a second end cap coupled to the other end of the central body. At least two of the central body, first end cap, and second end cap are formed from bone. Each of the central body, first end cap, and second end cap may be provided in different sizes so that cages with varying overall heights, and related angulations, may be created.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a system for actuating a two-part mould (1) forming two half-moulds (1, 1) mutually articulated about a shaft (2) forming a hinge and driven, between an opening position and a closing position, by a translational carriage (7) driven in a reciprocating movement. The inventive system is particularly characterised in that each half-mould (1, 1) is further articulated on a part (4a, 4b) which pivots about a shaft (5a, 5b) and which is driven in rotation by at least an actuating link rod (6a, 6b) articulated through its ends respectively to said pivoting part (4a, 4b) and to said translational carriage (7).
Abstract:
A blow molding apparatus having a mold clamping apparatus of the clam shell type, and having a linkage controlling the opening and closing of the mold, the linkage being comprised of two links pivotally connected to each other and driven by a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder. The links are configured to provide the cylinder with mechanical advantage so that little mold separation force is recognized at the cylinder.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for producing an extruded product includes a machine that cooperates with an extruder. The machine is commonly used as a corrugator and the extruded product is often corrugated piping. The machine has a frame supporting a trackway in a continuous path. A plurality of mold block assemblies travel about the continuous path to form a mold tunnel along a portion of the continuous path. The mold block assemblies include a carriage connected by at least one guide and linear bearings to a pair of mold holders. The mold holders are connected to at least one pair of opposing mold blocks. Guides and directors position the mold block pairs relative to one another while the assemblies travel along the continuous path. As the holders, and thus the mold block halves, are linearly displaceable from one another, the halves may meet to form the mold tunnel and separate to allow removal of the extruded product.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a moulding unit comprising. between two components consisting of a mould element (22) and its support (18), a compensating chamber (56) wherein a pressurised fluid is injected to move apart the mould element (22) from its support (18). The invention is characterised in that the chamber (56) is delimited by a membrane (42) comprising a peripheral seal (44) with a lip, the membrane (42) being urged to press against one of the components (22, 18) and the seal lip (44) being urged to be tightly pressed against the other of the components (18, 22).
Abstract:
A mold assembly has two mold half shells, corresponding mold half carriers, and a novel intermediate interconnecting member comprising a pair of ring shaped locating members. The locating members have an inner locating wall, preferably a stepped shoulder, that fits into a recessed slot in the outer wall of the mold shells. The locating members have an outer wall that fits into a recessed slot in the inner wall of the mold half carriers. The inner and outer locating walls of the locating members are vertically positioned relative to each to determine the vertical registry of the mold shell to the mold carrier. By utilizing intermediate interconnecting members of differing relative vertical positioning of the inner and outer locating walls, universals mold shells and mold carriers may be used for containers having differing neck heights whereby the neck height adjustment is accommodated by changing the intermediate interconnecting member.
Abstract:
A rotary machine for making PET vessels or bottles starting from a molded preform comprises a rotary table driven by motor-reducer unit and supporting a plurality of molds, transmission and gripping wheels for gripping the preforms from an oven, a driving chain for driving the preforms through the oven and variable pitch star elements for supplying the preforms to the molds and withdrawing from the molds the formed bottles, a central control unit being moreover provided for independently controlling the above mentioned devices.
