摘要: Techniques and systems are disclosed for electronic target recognition. In particular, techniques and systems are disclosed for performing electronic surveillance and target recognition using a multiple parallax exploitation (MPEX) electronic eye platform. Among other things, a MPEX system can include an imaging unit that includes multiple image capture devices spaced from one another to form an array to provide overlapping fields-of-view and to capture multiple overlapping stereo images of a scene. The MPEX system can also include a processing unit connected to the imaging unit to receive and process data representing the captured multiple overlapping stereo images from the imaging unit to characterize one or more objects of interest in the scene.

摘要: A chill plate moves the mold structure into a furnace, A baffle is supported in an open central portion of an array of article molds by a plurality of support elements. The support elements extend through spaces between the article molds into engagement with a furnace to support the baffle during withdrawal of the article molds from the furnace. In one embodiment of the invention, the support elements are engaged with the furnace by rotating the chill plate through a small arc. When the article molds have been almost completely withdrawn from the furnace, the baffle plate is disposed adjacent to the upper ends of the article molds. At this time, the chill plate is again rotated to disengage the support elements from the furnace. When this happens, the baffle drops downwardly onto the chill plate. Disengagement of the support elements from the furnace may be facilitated by forming the support elements of a relatively brittle material which will break when pressure is applied against either the baffle or the support elements by the mold structure.

摘要: A mold structure has a plurality of article molds disposed in an array with an open central space. A gating system is connected with upper ends of the article molds and a base is connected with lower ends of the article molds. A baffle plate is inserted into the open central space between the article molds. The baffle plate has an area which is greater than the area of an opening in the base. A lower side of the baffle plate overlies an area on the base which extends completely around the opening in the base. To insert the baffle plate through the opening in the base, a slit is formed in the baffle plate. A portion of the base is received in the slit and then the baffle plate is rotated to turn it through the opening in the base. An alternative method of inserting the baffle plate is by partially folding the baffle plate and inserting the folded baffle plate through the opening in the base of the mold structure. Once the folded baffle plate has been moved into the open space between the article molds, the baffle plate is unfolded.

摘要: Semiconductor devices having bonding pads formed over active regions on the device are fabricated by providing protective layers between the bonding pad and the underlying active region(s). The first protective layer is formed from a polyimide material which can absorb shock resulting from tape automated bonding of the bonding pad. The second protective layer is formed from a puncture-resistant material, such as a plasma nitride, which will prevent penetration of the bonding pad resulting from the downward force applied during tape automated bonding. The bonding pad is connected to active regions or metallization pads on the device substrate by a metal interconnect having a vertical run and a lateral run. The vertical run penetrates the protective layers as well as any passivation layers which may be present, while the lateral run provides an offset for the bonding pad. In this way, the bonding pad and the active region of the substrate will be separated by the protective layers.

摘要: A boat leveling system includes a boat that has a port side, a starboard side, a port fuel tank, a starboard fuel tank, a port fuel line, a starboard fuel line, an engine, an engine fuel return line and a fuel vent line. A leveling unit is positioned within the boat. The leveling unit is in fluid communication with the engine fuel return line to receive fuel. The leveling unit is in fluid communication with each of the port fuel line and the starboard fuel line. The leveling unit diverts the fuel to the port fuel line when the boat is listing to the starboard side. Thus, the port fuel unit receives additional fuel to level the boat. 摘要: An analyzer apparatus and method of use thereof is described to dynamically irradiate a sample with incident light where the incident light is varied in time in terms of any of: position, radial position relative to a point of the skin of a subject, solid angle, incident angle, depth of focus, energy, and/or intensity. For example, the incident light is varied in radial position as a function of time relative to one or more of a sample site, a point on skin of the subject, a detection optic, and/or a sample volume observed by a detection system. The radially varied incident light is used to enhance and/or vary light probing the epidermis, the dermis, and/or the subcutaneous fat of the subject or of a group of subjects.
