Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, a configuration of an automatic gain control (AGC) symbol for a synchronization signal block (SSB)-less carrier, wherein the SSB-less carrier and at least one carrier that transmits an SSB are included in a plurality of carriers for inter-band carrier aggregation. The UE may receive, from the network node, an indication of activation of the SSB-less carrier. The UE may measure signal strength on the SSB-less carrier in the AGC symbol for the SSB-less carrier in accordance with the configuration of the AGC for the SSB-less carrier. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may transmit feedback, such as hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for groups of code blocks rather than for an entire transport block or individual code blocks. The wireless device may transmit an acknowledgement (ACK) or negative-acknowledgement (NACK) to provide feedback for each code block group of a set of code block groups. An ACK may indicate that code blocks in a code block group were successfully decoded, and a NACK may indicate that at least one code block in a code block group was not successfully decoded. Wireless devices may support several techniques for grouping code blocks for feedback reporting to allow for efficient retransmissions and limited overhead. Different grouping schemes may be employed depending on system constraints, device capability, link conditions, or the like.

Abstract: In an aspect, a location of a reference UE is obtained (e.g., iteratively). A first differential RTT measurement is determined based on RTTs between a target UE and each of first and second wireless nodes, and a second differential RTT measurement is determined based on RTTs between a reference UE and each of the first and second wireless nodes. A positioning estimate of the target UE is determined based on the first and second differential RTT measurements and the obtained reference UE location (e.g., a most recent of the iteratively obtained reference UE locations). In another aspect, a primary reference UE among a plurality of reference UEs is selected, and its location is obtained (e.g., iteratively). A location of other reference UE(s) is determined based at least in part upon the obtained primary reference UE location (e.g., a most recent of the iteratively obtained primary reference UE locations).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support relayed sidelink communications. A first device and a base station may communicate via a communication link including a sidelink link between the first device and a second device and a relay link between the second device and the base station. The base station may determine restrictions for the communication link and transmit an indication of the restrictions over the relay link. The restrictions may differentiate data originating from the first device and the second device, restrict the first device to one or more resources, or associate logical channels at the first device with one or more transport block sizes and communication links. The second device may relay the indication of the restrictions to the first device. The first device, the second device, and the base station may communicate over the communication link according to the restrictions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first base station may communicate during asynchronous slots in accordance with a set of communication parameters determined from a handshake procedure performed with a second base station. Abstract: Fallback procedures for user equipments (UEs) are described that provide efficient fallback to a four-step random access procedure from a two-step random access procedure. For example, after transmitting a first message of a two-step random access procedure, a UE may start a fallback timer or counter and monitor for a second message of the two-step random access procedure for the duration of the fallback timer or counter. At the expiration of the fallback timer or counter, the UE may fall back to a four-step random access procedure. In some cases, the UE may transmit multiple repetitions of the first message and monitor for responses after transmitting the repetitions or after each repetition. Additionally, or alternatively, the base station may transmit an explicit signal to the UE that may signal to the UE to perform a fallback procedure at a beginning or middle of a random access procedure.
