Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for low density parity check (LDPC) interleaving with improved error floor performance. A method for wireless communications that may be provided by a transmitting device is provided. The method generally includes encoding one or more information bits using a LDPC code to produce a coded bit sequence comprising systematic bits and parity bits. The transmitting device stores the coded bit sequence in a circular buffer. The transmitting device performs rate matching on the coded bit sequence. The rate matching includes interleaving the parity bits with a partial interleaver and interleaving the systematic bits and interleaved parity bits with a systematic bit priority mapping (SBPM) interleaver. The transmitting device maps the SBPM interleaved bit sequence to constellation points according to a modulation scheme and transmits the modulated bit sequence.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine to block puncture or to block shorten a set of transmitted bits of an adjusted fractally enhanced kernel polar code for a communication of an incremental redundancy (IR)-hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process based at least in part on a code rate associated with the communication of the IR-HARQ process. The wireless communication device may generate the adjusted fractally enhanced kernel polar code for the communication based at least in part on determining to block puncture or to block shorten the set of transmitted bits. The wireless communication device may transmit the communication using the adjusted fractally enhanced kernel polar code. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for a high priority route selection descriptor (RSD) selection timer. A protocol data unit (PDU) session may be established for an application associated with a user equipment (UE). If the PDU session is associated with a lower RSD priority than the highest RSD priority for the application, the UE may initiate an RSD selection timer. After expiration of the RSD selection timer, the UE may try to establish another PDU session for the application with the highest RSD priority for the application. If another PDU session with the highest RSD priority is accepted, the UE may release the initial PDU session with the lower RSD priority and establish a new PDU session with the highest RSD priority. Such implementations may increase data rates, quality of service, and reliability for the application, decrease latency of the application, or decrease power consumption of the UE.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to methods and apparatus for adjusting a number of encoded bits, M, in block puncturing and/or shortening calculations to improve encoding performance. An exemplary method that may be performed by a wireless device generally includes iteratively determining a parameter, Madj, for construction of a polar code of size N for use in encoding K information bits, based on: at least two parameters, α and β, related to how many iterations to use in determining Madj, and a number of encoded bits, M; performing information adjustment allocation of the K information bits to an upper part and a lower part of the polar code based on Madj; and transmitting the upper part and the lower part of the polar code via a wireless medium.

Abstract: A method applies a distance-based loss function to a boundary recognition model. The method classifies boundaries of an input with the boundary recognition model. The method also performs semantic segmentation based on the classifying of the boundaries, and outputting a segmentation map showing different classes of objects from the input, based on the semantic segmentation. The method may train an inverse transforming artificial neural network to predict a perspective transformation of an image so that the trained artificial neural network represents the distance-based loss function. The method may freeze weights of the inverse transforming artificial neural network, after training, to obtain the distance-based loss function. Training of the inverse transforming artificial neural network may include generating shifted, translated, and scaled versions of the image such that a ground truth comprises values corresponding to the amounts of shifting, translating, and scaling.
