Abstract:
A die assembly includes a die mounted to a support, in which the support has interconnect pedestals formed at bond pads, and the die has interconnect terminals projecting beyond a die edge into corresponding pedestals. Also, a support has interconnect pedestals. Also, a method for electrically interconnecting a die to a support includes providing a support having interconnect pedestals formed at bond pads on the die mount surface of the support, providing a die having interconnect terminals projecting beyond a die edge, positioning the die in relation to the support such that the terminals are aligned with the corresponding pedestals, and moving the die and the support toward one another so that the terminals contact the respective pedestals.
Abstract:
A method and related system to determine nasal resistance to airflow. Some of the exemplary embodiments may be a method comprising measuring an attribute of airflow through a first naris of a patient without blocking a second naris of the patient, measuring an attribute of airflow through the second naris of the patient without blocking the first naris, and determining a value indicative of nasal resistance to airflow based on the attributes measured.
Abstract:
A dual, counter rotating, coaxial rotor system provides an upper and lower rotor system, with a reduced axial rotor separation distance along a common axis by way of rotor tip position sensing and rotor position controls to avoid tip contact.
Abstract:
A liner holds objects in place within a form for a poured wall. The liner includes a backing sheet and a plurality of foam bed joints arranged in a substantially parallel fashion along a length dimension. A plurality of separate foam head joints are attached along a height dimension, wherein opposing ends of the foam head joints engage adjacent bed joints to define a plurality of regions on the backing sheet for receiving the objects to be cast in the poured wall. Each foam joint has a rounded cross section to form a curved grout line between the objects cast in the poured wall. The foam joints include an outer protective skin to prevent the poured wall material from bonding with the foam cells. A method of forming the liner includes aligning the separate foam bed joints and head joints in a grid and then pressing an adhesive-backed paper sheet against the foam joints.
Abstract:
A method, system and computer program product are provided that reduce voice and data over IP (VoIP) packet overhead in an Internet telephony system, and regenerate missing or damaged data in a data packet. A media framer aggregates packets from multiple concurrent calls from several channels into a larger data packet. A transmission control module defines the format for each data packet, and updates and synchronizes header information in the data packets. A single virtual connection transmits data packets and other signals between originating and destination gateways located in the service areas for a caller and called party. System redundancy improves the quality of service by regenerating missing or damaged data in the data packets.
Abstract:
A drag reduction system extends from an underside of a VTOL aircraft forward of a four-point sling system. The four-point sling system carries an external load close to an underside of the airframe and oriented along the aircraft longitudinal axis. The drag reduction system includes a retractable shield mounted beneath the underside of the aircraft which reduces drag of the external sling load and reduces the airloads on the external load.

Abstract:
A method, system and computer program product for route checking and management is described herein. In a voice over internet protocol environment, the invention allows for the testing of routes among various gateways. In an embodiment, a method for selecting a route for a voice over IP call within a communications network is provided. The method includes receiving a VoIP call request from a user, identifying potential candidate routes, assessing the quality and cost of routes and determining a route based on cost, quality and/or user preferences.
Abstract:
A communication transaction management system has a computerized appliance executing software from a digital medium for a particular enterprise, a holding function of the software tracking received transactions initiated by associated persons, and selecting individual transactions for connection to live agents, and a monitoring function for determining behavior of the persons associated with individual transactions on hold relative to an interactive presentation. Individual transactions on hold are prioritized for connection to live agents at least in part depending on the behavior determined by the monitoring function.
