    摘要: The present invention provides an OLED display device including a display panel, a data driver and a timing controller. The display panel has sub-pixels for displaying images. The data driver supplies a data signal to data lines of the sub-pixels. The timing controller supplies the data signal to the data driver and controls the data driver. The data driver outputs a stress prevention voltage for preventing application of stress to driving transistors included in the sub-pixels in response to a stress compensation signal output from the timing controller, and the stress prevention voltage is applied to M (M being an integer equal to or greater than 1) sub-pixels selected per frame.

    摘要: An electroluminescent (EL) display apparatus and method of controlling are provided. A display screen includes gate and source signal lines. A pixel corresponds to each intersection of the gate and source signal lines. Each pixel includes: an EL device including anode and cathode terminals, the cathode terminal being connected to a common reference voltage; a driving transistor to flow a current to the EL device; a first switch transistor provided on a current path through which the current flows from a power line through the driving transistor to the EL device; a second switch transistor to supply, to the driving transistor, an image signal from one source signal line; and a third switch transistor provided between the anode terminal of the EL device and a voltage line. The voltage line is configured to supply a reverse bias voltage for reverse biasing the anode terminal of the EL device.

The first transistor includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a gate electrode and may control a current applied to the organic light emitting diode from a first power source, wherein the gate electrode is electrically connected to a first node. The second transistor is electrically connected between the organic light emitting diode and the second electrode of the first transistor and may turn on in response to a first emission control signal. The third transistor is electrically connected between the first power source and the first electrode of the first transistor and may turn on in response to a second emission control signal. The second transistor may turn on two or more times during one frame. The third transistor may turn on exactly once in the one frame.

Thus, the present invention provides a display device capable of preventing a current from flowing to a display element in signal writing operation without varying potentials of power source lines for supplying a current to the display element per row. In setting a gate-source voltage of a transistor by applying a predetermined current to the transistor, a potential of a gate terminal of the transistor is adjusted so as to prevent a current from flowing to a load connected to a source terminal of the transistor. Therefore, a potential of a wire connected to the gate terminal of the transistor is differentiated from a potential of a wire connected to a drain terminal of the transistor.
