    摘要: A method of detecting symmetrical components of a three-phase supply-line voltage comprises the steps of converting three-phase voltage to alternating single-phase voltage with the aid of at least two function generators (2), (3), with at least one of said function generators being an active-reactive circuit, which conversion of a three-phase voltage is effected by altering said supply-line voltage in amplitude and phase in said active-reactive circuits, and subsequently summing up output voltages of the function generators (2), (3), to produce symmetrical components of said three-phase voltage, forming a control signal proportional to a disturbance influencing the output voltages of the active-reactive circuits (4) and compensating said disturbance influence by control action, wherein according to the invention said control signal is formed from the difference in voltage drop between elements (5), (6) in each active-reactive circuit, and compensating said disturbance influence is done by summing up said control signal and said voltage drop across one of said elements (5), (6) in each active-reactive circuit (4).

    摘要: An automatic transfer control device for selectively energizing an electrical distribution system from a pair of electrical power sources. The device includes voltage sensors for sensing electrical conditions on each of the sources. The device may be used on either three-wire or four-wire systems. The voltage sensors comprise an operational amplifier for artificially generating a phase-to-phase voltage from two phase-to-ground voltages. The artificially generated voltage is used to detect sequence reversal on the sources being monitored. Separate means are provided to select a source from which to draw control power for the device, the control power criterion being different from the transfer criterion.

    摘要: A solid state starter for a chiller compressor motor mounts directly on the compressor motor and comprises a bank of SCR's which are controllably switched to conduct current to the motor for starting and running. Electronic control modules are provided including a trigger module for triggering the SCR's, a current module (including current overload protection) for controlling the trigger module so that motor current is controllably delivered to the motor, and a voltage safety module for protecting against electrical faults. The SCR's are cooled by liquid refrigerant.

    摘要: Apparatus protected against ground faults for monitoring the ground connection between a grounded power source and a mobile machine provided with multi-phase power through a multi-conductor trailing cable has a star arrangement of impedances connected to the phase conductors at the power source and a like arrangement connected at the machine, the junctions of which are connected to the ground conductor at each end, through a silicon-controlled rectifier device which is paralleled by a monitoring impedance. At least one impedance of one of the star arrangement of impedances is adjusted to provide a low monitoring voltage which circulates a current through the ground conductor and monitoring impedance. The voltage across the latter actuates monitoring means. The silicon-controlled rectifier is adjusted to conduct when the voltage across it rises above the monitoring level. The monitoring current may be alternating current, or direct current obtained from a rectifier in circuit with the ground conductor.
