The voltages at the centerpoints of the loads to be monitored are monitored and compared with the voltage of the centerpoint of the reference load. The comparison is affected by faults which do not affect all loads equally (as by a short or open) and is unaffected by faults which do affect all loads equally (as by changes in voltage of the source).

The control circuit judges whether or not a power system has a power failure, based on values of the system voltage and a frequency of the power system; and calculates a phase difference between a phase of the output voltage of the inverter and a phase of the system voltage and generate, by means of the phase difference, an output frequency pattern for changing a frequency of the output voltage of the inverter. The control circuit, when it is judged that the power system has recovered from the power failure, controls the inverter to change the frequency of the output voltage of the inverter in line with the output frequency pattern, and closes the switch after the phase difference becomes smaller than or equal to a threshold.

A safety tripping device for a frame-type ACB drawer seat, which includes a special gear, a first lever, a tension spring, a second lever, and a tripping shaft. The special gear includes the first rotation shaft and the first irregular convex flange feature. The irregular convex flange is lapped with a bending edge of one end of the first lever. The other end of the first lever is connected to the tension spring. An arc-shaped notch is provided at one end of the first lever which corresponds to the connecting spring. An arc-shaped protrusion matching the arc-shaped notch is provided at one end of the second lever. The arc-shaped protrusion engages with or separates from the arc-shaped notch to achieve the tripping operation. The frame-type ACB drawer seat according to the present invention is suitable for large-scale production applications.

A three-phase power monitor operates a contactor between a supply of three phase electrical power and a three phase load. A phase integrity detector has three inputs connected respectively to the three phases of the electrical power. If a loss, reversal, or dissymmetry is detected, a photoemitting device is actuated. Actuation can also result from low or high line frequency. A power supply circuit is input with the three phases of power and has an output providing a dc level corresponding to the voltage level of the three-phase electrical power. A hold circuit has a first time constant associated with it and attains a hold level when current is applied to its input, but reverts to a release level after this current ceases. An interrogator circuit is coupled to the power supply and to the input of the hold circuit and provides a periodic recharge current to the hold circuit at a period that is shorter than the period of the hold circuit. A high/low voltage level detector interrupts the periodic recharge current if the dc level is outside a predetermined voltage limit. A photosensor-based discharge circuit is optically coupled to the photoemitting device of the three phase integrity detector, and is electrically coupled to the hold circuit for discharging the time constant circuit thereof if a phase loss or phase imbalance is detected.

A phase imbalance logic module for a solid state motor protection system for a three-phase motor. Three-phase line currents are converted to corresponding voltages and rectified. The resultant output voltage is a poorly regulated DC voltage having a ripple of approximately 4% during normal operating conditions. In the event of a phase failure, even if not total, the corresponding ripple percentage increases. The phase imbalance logic network senses ripple and provides an output signal to trip a protective circuit breaker if the component of ripple becomes significantly large.
