Abstract: A handheld computing device can include a substantially rectangular first screen having a front surface, a rear surface, and a beveled edge extending between the front and rear surfaces of the first screen and a substantially rectangular second screen rotatably connected to the first screen so that the device is foldable between an open position and a closed position, the second screen having a front surface, a rear surface, and a beveled edge extending between the front and rear surfaces of the second screen. When the device is in the closed position, the first and second screens are positioned back-to-back and the beveled edges of the first and second screens angle inwardly toward the other respective screen to provide an angled surface configured to facilitate opening the device.

Abstract: A medical image display apparatus which displays, in a display screen, a display image having undergone gray level transform of changing number of gray levels of a medical image, obtains a representative value of pixel values concerning a region of a block, in the medical image, which corresponds to each partial region in a region designated in the display image. The medical image display apparatus sets a specific region in the display screen so as to include the designated region, and superimposes/displays and arranges obtained representative values on the specific region in correspondence with the arrangement of the partial regions.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for performing color blending of document objects using GPU hardware of a computer. A computer obtains a document specifying a first object and a second object presented in the document, where a portion of the second object overlaps the first object. The computer renders, on a display device, a presentation of the document, where the rendered presentation including the first object of the document. In response to determining that the document specifies blending the second object with the first object in the overlapping portion, configuring dual-source color circuitry of a graphics processing unit (GPU) of the computer to compute, via a dual-source color blending operation, a result color for the blended first and second objects. The computer renders, on the display device, the second object of the document using the result color for the overlapping portion.
