Abstract: A display control device for a vehicle is provided. The display control device includes a processor configured to display a primary plan on a first display and a secondary plan on a second display. The primary plan is to be performed next after a vehicle action currently being performed, and the secondary plan is to be performed subsequently to the primary plan. The first display may be provided on an upper side of the second display. The first display may be a head-up display, and the second display may be a meter panel.

Abstract: An augmented reality display system included in a vehicle generates an augmented reality display, on one or more transparent surfaces of the vehicle. The augmented reality display can include an indicator of the vehicle speed which is spatially positioned according to the speed of the vehicle relative to the local speed limit. The augmented reality display can include display elements which conform to environmental objects and can obscure and replace content displayed on the objects. The augmented reality display can include display elements which indicate a position of environmental objects which are obscured from direct perception through the transparent surface. The augmented reality display can include display elements which simulate one or more particular environmental objects in the environment, based on monitoring manual driving performance of the vehicle by a driver. The augmented reality display can include display elements which identify environmental objects and particular zones in the environment.

The approach may, for instance, include processing a current orientation mode of a device, a detected attitude change of the device, and an attitude change threshold to determine a new orientation mode for the device. Abstract: An image display system includes a body, a first correction unit, and a second correction unit. The body houses a display unit to display an image and projects a virtual image, corresponding to the image, onto a target space using outgoing light of the display unit. The first correction unit corrects for distortion of the image. The second correction unit corrects a display location of the image on the display unit in accordance with an orientation signal representing a change in orientation of the body. Each of divisional areas of a display screen of the display unit is assigned with a distortion correction parameter for correcting for the distortion of the virtual image. The first correction unit applies distortion correction to each of the image regions of the image on the display screen based on a distortion correction parameter assigned to a divisional area where the image region is displayed.

Abstract: A wearable device may include a head-mounted display (HMD) for rendering a three-dimensional (3D) virtual object which appears to be located in an ambient environment of a user of the display. The relative positions of the HMD and one or more eyes of the user may not be in desired positions to receive image information outputted by the HMD. For example, the HAMID-to-eye vertical alignment may be different between the left and right eyes. The wearable device may determine if the HMD is level on the user's head and may then provide the user with a left-eye alignment marker and a right-eye alignment marker. Based on user feedback, the wearable device may determine if there is any left-right vertical misalignment and may take actions to reduce or minimize the effects of any misalignment.
