Abstract: An example method in a user equipment comprises generating a random access preamble signal and transmitting the random access preamble signal. This generating of the random access preamble signal comprises generating a random access preamble signal comprising two or more consecutive preamble symbol groups, each preamble symbol group comprising a cyclic prefix portion and a plurality of identical symbols occupying a single subcarrier of the random access preamble signal. The single subcarrier for at least one of the preamble symbol groups corresponds to a first subcarrier frequency and the single subcarrier for an immediately subsequent one of the preamble symbol groups corresponds to a second subcarrier frequency.

Abstract: Systems and methods relating to a narrowband Primary Synchronization Signal (NB-PSS) and a narrowband Secondary Synchronization Signal (NB-SSS) are disclosed. In some embodiments, a base station in a wireless network comprises a processor and storage that stores instructions executable by the processor whereby the base station is operable to transmit a NB-PSS and a NB-SSS in a narrowband portion of a downlink system bandwidth. The NB-PSS and the NB-SSS are transmitted such that more than two occurrences of the NB-PSS and more than two occurrences of the NB-SSS are transmitted over a defined time interval, each occurrence of the NB-PSS is transmitted over multiple contiguous Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols and each occurrence of the NB-SSS is transmitted over multiple contiguous OFDM symbols, and each occurrence of the NB-SSS provides an indication of a location of the occurrence of the NB-SSS within the defined time interval.

Abstract: There is provided method and devices for handling multi path routing of data packets. The method comprises the step S1 of establishing a multi path connection with a target network node, the multi path connection comprising a plurality of paths over which data packets can be transmitted to the target network node. The method also comprises the step S2 of obtaining information relating to the quality of the plurality of paths and the step S3 of determining, based on the obtained information, whether a path in the plurality of paths has been disconnected or is about to be disconnected. The method also comprises the step S4 of activating at least one substitution path if it is determined that a path in the plurality of paths have been disconnected or is about to be disconnected, to enable transmission of data packets intended to be transmitted on the disconnected path, or the path about to be disconnected, over the activated substitution path. Corresponding devices and computer programs enabling handling of multi path connections are also provided.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes receiving a downlink signal comprising an uplink access configuration index, using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among a predetermined plurality of uplink access configurations, and transmitting to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. The example method further includes, in the same wireless device, receiving, in a first subframe, a first Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) transmission formatted according to a first numerology and receiving, in a second subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology, the second numerology differing from the first numerology. Abstract: Embodiments presented in this disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses (such as Access Points (AP's), evolved NodeB's (eNB's), etc.) for use in aggregation, or integration, between a Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) and a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). In one embodiment, an eNB decides that an aggregation between the WWAN and the WLAN is to be performed for at least one bearer of one or more bearers associated with a specific UE. Next, the eNB identifies which one(s) of the at least one bearer of the specific UE that is/are to be aggregated between the WWAN and the WLAN. Also, the eNB schedules each one of the at least one bearer identified to be aggregated between the WWAN and the WLAN.
