A communication system includes a first information processing apparatus and a second information processing apparatus. The first information processing apparatus controls to determine an information amount to be used for a receipt acknowledgment response to packets to be transmitted to a second information processing apparatus on the basis of information relating to the packets and notifies the second information processing apparatus of that determined information amount. The second information processing apparatus controls to return the receipt acknowledgment response to the packets transmitted from the first information processing apparatus to the first information processing apparatus on the basis of the information amount notified from the first information processing apparatus.-

Abstract: A communication apparatus and a communication method are provided by which an upper network including a plurality of network groups is formed. A base station transmits a first frame requesting communication for estimating a structure of an upper network to another base station and returns a reply of a second frame to a first frame from the other base station. Then, the base station estimates a structure of the upper network and decides a structure attribute of the base station itself in the upper network on the basis of information acquired through the communications. Then, the base station notifies the other base station or a subordinate terminal of a result of the decision of the structure attribute.

When a transmission apparatus transmits a data signal to a reception apparatus, the reception apparatus returns a response signal including a feedback parameter (FP) to the transmission apparatus. In a case where a reception situation of the reception apparatus is poor and improvement of it is necessitated on the basis of the FP, the transmission apparatus adjusts transmission power or the like to improve the reception situation of the reception apparatus. The present disclosure can be applied to a communication system in a WLAN.-

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a control part. The control part performs control to transmit a frame for requesting the transmission of data to an information processing apparatus as a destination of the data and for requesting information processing apparatuses other than the information processing apparatus as the destination to set a transmission inhibition time, the frame being transmitted with transmitting power determined on the basis of surrounding environment information regarding an environment surrounding the information processing apparatus transmitting the frame. Transmission of the frame causes the transmission inhibition time to be set over an appropriate range of information processing apparatuses. Efficiency of utilization of communication resources is improved by suitably setting a transmission inhibition time.
