Abstract: The present technology relates to a wireless communication apparatus and a wireless communication method that make it possible to read necessary information even in a case where a physical header at a top portion of a signal transmitted from a base station of another BSS fails to be received and the signal is received from the middle. The wireless communication apparatus includes a communication section configured to generate and transmit an OFDM signal in which second information is superimposed in a frequency axis direction of the OFDM signal which includes first information destined for one or more subordinate client devices. The present technology can be applied to a wireless communication apparatus and so forth that perform wireless communication, for example, standardized by IEEE 802.11.

Abstract: Provided is a communication apparatus and a method that allow for synthesis of information using an original signal and a retransmission signal for retransmitting information of the original signal whose demodulation has failed, in wireless communication with independent physical layer and MAC layer. Information is transmitted regarding a configuration of a retransmission signal for retransmitting information of an original signal whose demodulation has failed to a sender of the retransmission signal, and the retransmission signal transmitted from the sender is received on the basis of the information regarding the configuration of the retransmission signal transmitted. The present disclosure is applicable, for example, to a transmission/reception apparatus, a communication apparatus, an information processing apparatus, electronic equipment, a computer, a storage medium, and a system, and so on.

Abstract: Solid-state imaging devices, methods of producing a solid-state imaging device, and electronic apparatuses are provided. More particularly, a solid-state image device includes a silicon substrate, and at least a first photodiode formed in the silicon substrate. The device also includes an epitaxial layer with a first surface adjacent a surface of the silicon substrate, and a transfer transistor with a gate electrode that extends from the at least a first photodiode to a second surface of the epitaxial layer opposite the first surface. In further embodiments, a solid-state imaging device with a plurality of pixels formed in a second semiconductor substrate wherein the pixels are symmetrical with respect to a center point is provided. A floating diffusion is formed in an epitaxial layer, and a plurality of transfer gate electrodes that are each electrically connected to the floating diffusion by one of the transfer gate electrodes is provided.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a control section, and can temporarily pause at least some of its own functions. The control section of the information processing apparatus performs control for notifying, when at least some of its own functions are to be temporarily paused, a first apparatus that has a specific function of a function temporary pause period within which at least some of functions of the first apparatus are to be temporarily paused. Further, the control section of the information processing apparatus performs control for directing, when at least some of its own functions are to be temporarily paused, a second apparatus that does not have a specific function to restrain transmission. Power consumption of the information processing apparatus can be reduced.
