Abstract:
An Internet Protocol Network Telephony call center having a plurality of agents for serving clients also processes e-mails addresses to the call center, but not to specific agents. An e-mail server receives and routes the e-mail, and includes a router and a database storing skill set information regarding agents. The router extracts information from the e-mails, matches key words in the extracted information with key words from the skill sets, and routes the e-mails to appropriate agents having the necessary skills to respond to the service requirements in the e-mails.
Abstract:
For use in a call center having a plurality of agent stations and an audio automatic call distribution system (ACD) for routing an incoming audio call received from a communications network to one of the plurality of agent stations, a system and method that allows the audio ACD to route an audio/video call received into the call center. The system includes: (1) an audio/video call control circuit for responding to a video portion of an incoming audio/video call from the communications network and routing an audio portion of the incoming audio/video call to the audio ACD, the audio ACD processing the audio portion as an incoming audio call and routing the audio portion to one of the plurality of agent stations and (2) a video routing circuit for determining an identity of the one of the plurality of agent stations and routing the video portion to the one of the plurality of agent stations in response thereto, both the audio portion and the video portion of the incoming audio/video call thereby routed to the one of the plurality of agent stations in response to routing control given by the audio ACD.
Abstract:
A video conversation/monitoring system having a remote monitoring function includes a center station and multiple end stations linked through the ISDN network. The center station includes a video conversation/monitoring circuit, video input device, video output device, audio input device, audio output device, system controller, facsimile, and ISDN line terminating unit. Each end station includes a video conversation/monitoring circuit, system controller, first video input device, second video input device, audio input device, audio output device, calling device, first notification device, second notification device, detection device, facsimile, and ISDN line terminating unit. Based on the remote monitoring function of the video input device and the remote control function of the system controller for switching the video input device, various guidance services are accomplished in addition to the video-phonic conversation service. The integrated unit enables easy desk-top installation, the application of the ISDN network reduces the communication cost, and the provision of various state detection devices in the end stations enables image-based monitoring and state monitoring in addition to the conversation.
Abstract:
A method and system for routing phone calls from a caller to a selected destination based on voiceband (voice) and digital services (data) transport capabilities is disclosed. The selected destination is one of a plurality of destinations identified by a common telephone number such as an 800 number. A plurality of discriminators common to both voice and data calls are associated with the phone call. An additional data rate discriminator is also associated for a data call corresponding to a requested data rate from the calling party. A database, such as a direct services dialing database, is accessed in response to receiving the common telephone number from the calling party for obtaining a destination number for a voice call based on the common discriminators, and a separate destination number for a data call. The separate destination number for the data call is based on the common discriminators and the desired data rate. The call is completed by directing the call to the selected destination number.
Abstract:
Provided is a terminal. The terminal may include an input and output interface configured to receive a first video capturing a first user, a communication interface configured to transmit the first video or a first sound of the first user to a terminal of a counterpart and receive a second video or second sound, which is obtained by the terminal of the counterpart, through a video call session, a display configured to display the first video and the second video, and a processor configured to detect a specific event during the video call session, determine whether an inappropriate element is included in the first video or the first sound when the specific event is detected, and stop transmitting the first video or the first sound according to a result of the determination.
Abstract:
A report evaluation method of a report evaluation device may include receiving a report from at least one client terminal, determining a category of the received report, identifying a learning model corresponding to the category, evaluating a reliability of the report through the learning model, and generating and outputting information on the reliability.
Abstract:
A robotic dock for video conferencing is described. In some embodiments, a dock may be configured to receive an Information Handling System (IHS), the dock comprising: a motor; a microcontroller coupled to the motor; and a memory coupled to the microcontroller, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the microcontroller, cause the dock to control the motor to rotate the IHS toward or away from a participant of a video conference.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a control method for a display apparatus and a mobile terminal which includes a camera for taking a photograph and generating an image; a voice input unit which is used to input a voice; a user input unit which receives a user's input; a display unit which displays the image thereon; a wireless communication unit which communicates with a counterpart mobile terminal through a wireless network; and a controller which performs a video call by transmitting to the counterpart mobile terminal video call data comprising a video generated by the camera and a voice input by the voice input unit according user input, displays on the display unit a shared image during the video call, and transmits to the counterpart mobile terminal the shared image added to the video call data.
Abstract:
Video relay services, communication systems, and methods are disclosed connecting users with N11 services in a video relay service environment. A video relay service may comprise at least one server configured to manage a customer database including customer records for audibly-impaired users of the video relay service, manage an N11 database including alternate numbers corresponding to N11 codes for a plurality of different locations defined by political boundaries, receive incoming video calls including an N11 code from a calling party, resolve the N11 code to an appropriate alternate number for an N11 service based on a political boundary for the calling party responsive to a query of the N11 database, establish a first connection between a video communication device associated with the calling party and a call assistant station associated with a sign language interpreter, and establish a second connection between the call assistant station and the N11 service.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method and system for providing a visual indication that a video relay service (VRS) call originates from an inmate at a corrections facility, in which the method includes initiating a video relay service (VRS) call from a corrections facility between a called party and an inmate incarcerated at the corrections facility; and displaying a visual indication on a VRS client used by the called party for a predetermined time period, the visual indication indicating that the VRS call is originating from a corrections facility.
