摘要： To provide a system enabling a function for implementing providing of a service desired by an end user to be automatically generated in a network connecting appliance.When a resource server (RS) receives a request for a specification which is desired to be implemented from a particular service adapter (SA), the requested specification is analyzed by a specification analyzing device, a virtual service adapter is formed by collecting functional modules required to implement the specification, and the formed virtual service adapter is provided for the requesting service adapter. The virtual service adapter is automatically set as a physical service adapter to implement an actually requested function in a service adapter at an end user's place.

摘要： A method and apparatus for integrating an illuminated sign system with a dasher board in a hockey rink. The illuminated sign system includes an outer frame with an impact resistant transparent sheet secured to a front surface of the outer frame. The sign system includes a display panel member having a white front surface and a plurality of apertures therein. The display panel member includes a circuit board assembly having a plurality of LED trios positioned proximate the rear surface of the display panel member so that LED trios register and protrude through a corresponding aperture in the display panel member. The illuminated sign system includes a power supply and a controller for controlling the power supplied to specific LEDs in each of the LED trios. In addition, the controller controls the intensity emitted by the LEDs to thereby manipulate the color contrast with the white front surface of the display panel member. The illuminated sign system also includes shock absorbers for absorbing the impact of hockey play to the outer frame and the transparent sheet.

In response to the stored registration contents, the video conference system control section 109 controls a power unit and the communication network transmitting-receiving section to start up at least a part of the video conference system for calling the party with which the video conference is to be held and setting up a call between them before the video conference date and time.

摘要： A video conversation/monitoring system having a remote monitoring function includes a center station and multiple end stations linked through the ISDN network. The center station includes a video conversation/monitoring circuit, video input device, video output device, audio input device, audio output device, system controller, facsimile, and ISDN line terminating unit. Each end station includes a video conversation/monitoring circuit, system controller, first video input device, second video input device, audio input device, audio output device, calling device, first notification device, second notification device, detection device, facsimile, and ISDN line terminating unit. Based on the remote monitoring function of the video input device and the remote control function of the system controller for switching the video input device, various guidance services are accomplished in addition to the video-phonic conversation service. The integrated unit enables easy desk-top installation, the application of the ISDN network reduces the communication cost, and the provision of various state detection devices in the end stations enables image-based monitoring and state monitoring in addition to the conversation.
