摘要: A method for luma-based chroma intra-prediction in a video encoder or a video decoder is provided that includes filtering reconstructed neighboring samples of a reconstructed down sampled luma block, computing parameters α and β of a linear model using the filtered, reconstructed neighboring samples of the reconstructed down sampled luma block and reconstructed neighboring samples of a corresponding chroma block, wherein the linear model is PredC[x,y]=α·RecL′[x,y]+β, wherein x and y are sample coordinates, PredC is predicted chroma samples, and RecL′ is samples of the reconstructed down sampled luma block, and computing samples of a predicted chroma block from corresponding samples of the reconstructed down sampled luma block using the linear model and the parameters.

摘要: A method for coding a video sequence is provided that includes encoding a portion of a picture in the video sequence in lossless coding mode, and signaling a lossless coding indicator in a compressed bit stream, wherein the lossless coding indicator corresponds to the portion of a picture and indicates whether or not the portion of the picture is losslessly coded. A method for decoding a compressed video bit stream is provided that includes determining that lossless coding mode is enabled, decoding a lossless coding indicator from the compressed video bit stream, wherein the lossless coding indicator corresponds to a portion of a picture in the compressed video bit stream and indicates whether or not the portion of the picture is losslessly coded, and decoding the portion of the picture in lossless coding mode when the lossless coding indicator indicates the portion of the picture is losslessly coded.

摘要: A video coding mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes receiving a bitstream comprising one or more sub-pictures partitioned from a picture such that each sub-picture includes a sub-picture width that is an integer multiple of a coding tree unit (CTU) size when the each sub-picture includes a right boundary that does not coincide with a right boundary of the picture. The bitstream is parsed to obtain the one or more sub-pictures. The one or more sub-pictures are decoded to create a video sequence. The video sequence is forwarded for display.

The techniques include but are not limited to receiving packets with video frame data, storing the plurality of packets in a memory of a network controller, processing the packets to obtain unit(s) of the video frame, storing the unit(s) representative of the video frame in a memory of a graphics processing unit (GPU), and extracting the data of the video frame from the units representative of the video frame, stored in the memory of the GPU, to render the video frame.

In another aspect, the handling of scalable data streams by network entities is rendered more efficient by conveying level and/or profile descriptors using packets other than the data carrying packets, with profile and/or level descriptors being divided up into a first set explicitly signaling the definition of the available coding option set and/or available syntax element value range for a respective operation point, and a second set of profile and/or level descriptors which signal the definition of the available coding option set and/or available syntax element value range for their respective operation points by reference another profile and/or level descriptor.

摘要: Disclosed are techniques for compressing data of an image. Intermediate pixels may be determined. Each location of the image may be associated with a block of a plurality of blocks of a first size and a block of a plurality of blocks of a second size. For each block of the first size and of the second size, a first cost for a first mode and a second cost for a second mode may be determined in parallel using the intermediate pixels. A final mode and a final block size may be selected for each location of the image using the first cost and the second cost for each of a respective block of the first size and a respective block of the second size associated with a corresponding location. Final pixels may be determined, and a representation of the image may be obtained based on the final pixels.

The method comprises: entropy decoding a first portion of a video bitstream, wherein first portion of video bitstream is associated with a video frame, thereby producing a first portion of decoded data; entropy decoding a second portion of video bitstream, wherein second portion of video bitstream is associated with video frame, thereby producing a second portion of decoded data, wherein entropy decoding second portion of video bitstream is independent of entropy decoding first portion of video bitstream; and reconstructing a first portion of video frame associated with video bitstream using first portion of decoded data and second portion of decoded data.
