Abstract: A method, device and non-transitory computer-readable medium for control of a refresh frequency of a display unit are disclosed. The display unit is in communication with a processor and configured to display image frames processed by the processor on a screen of the display unit. The method includes: acquiring a real-time frame composition frequency corresponding to an amount of time required for the processor to complete composition of an image frame to be displayed; determining a refresh frequency of the display unit based on the real-time frame composition frequency, when the real-time-frame composition frequency satisfies a preset condition; and refreshing the screen of the display unit at the determined refresh frequency.

Abstract: A method for communicating an image stream, one embodiment comprising negotiating, between a server and client, an MTCC identifying: a window as a portion of a display of the client, and an occluded portion of the window defined by the client; generating, by the server, complying with the MTCC, a sequence of image frames each comprising pixel data in a portion of the frame identified by the occluded portion; transmitting an encoding of a first frame of the sequence not including an encoding of the pixel data in the portion of the first frame; identifying, by the server, an event associated with the sequence; and transmitting, before communication between the server and the client regarding the event, by the server, information of the event in conjunction with an encoding of a second frame of the sequence including an encoding of the pixel data in the portion of the second frame.

Abstract: An organic light emitting diode display device includes a display module having a display panel and a panel driver; a host system separated from the display module with a timing controller to control the panel driver; and an interface device between the host system and the display module. The interface device includes a cable between the host system and the display module, a transmission module to compress display data from the timing controller in an active period of each frame without compressing sensing data and recovery data supplied in a blank period of the frame and to transmit the compressed display data, the non-compressed sensing data and recovery data via the cable, and a reception module to decompress the compressed data transmitted via the cable, to supply the decompressed data to the panel driver, and to supply the non-compressed data to the panel driver without data processing.

Abstract: A video server is configured to convert frame data of a spherical image to frame data of a equirectangular image such that a first area corresponding to a field of view received from a client device is a middle area of the equirectangular image. The video server is further configured to scale the first area at a first resolution, scale a second area of the equirectangular image adjacent to the first area at a second resolution smaller than the first resolution, scale a third area of the equirectangular image that is adjacent to the first area and is not adjacent to the second area, at a third resolution smaller than the first resolution, and rearrange the scaled first area, second area and third area such that the scaled second area and the scaled third area are adjacent to each other, to generate reformatted equirectangular image frame data to be encoded.

A map generator is configured to determine whether each of the blocks is an update block based upon the syntax information and to generate a mapping table based upon a determination result. A display controller is configured to output the mapping table and data information corresponding to the update block to a display device.

Abstract: The invention provides, in some aspects, a system for rendering images, the system having one or more client digital data processors and a server digital data processor in communications coupling with the one or more client digital data processors, the server digital data processor having one or more graphics processing units. The system additionally comprises a render server module executing on the server digital data processor and in communications coupling with the graphics processing units, where the render server module issues a command in response to a request from a first client digital data processor. The graphics processing units on the server digital data processor simultaneously process image data in response to interleaved commands from (i) the render server module on behalf of the first client digital data processor, and (ii) one or more requests from (a) the render server module on behalf of any of the other client digital data processors, and (b) other functionality on the server digital data processor.
