Abstract:
A new doctor blade by which resin finishing can be stably applied to such a thin cloth having a weight 120 g/m2 or less is provided. The doctor blade has a lower portion bent to form an inclined surface so as to supply a resin composition on the inclined surface of the blade and to coat the resin composition on a cloth moving from the blade tip side to the blade body side, the lower portion 3 of the blade 1 in a width of 2-12 cm being bent to make an angle of 110-160 degrees to the blade body (upper portion 4). The tip portion 5 of the lower portion 3 of the blade 1 may be bent backward in a width of 3-10 mm at an angle of 50-150 degrees to the lower portion 3 of the blade.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a manufacturing apparatus comprising a polymer blade for scraping soap adhered to a roll mill used to make bar soaps. The manufacturing apparatus can be used to manufacture bar soaps, particularly Zinc Pyrithione (ZPT) containing bar soaps, that is characterized by enhanced discoloration resistance and/or improve anti-microbial effect.
Abstract:
A roll-to-roll electroless plating system, including a plating tank containing plating solution, and a web advance system for advancing a web of media along a web-transport path that passes through the plating tank. One or more fluid guides are positioned within the plating tank to redirect plating fluid containing gas bubbles introduced by a gas bubble source away from the web of media as it is advanced through the plating solution in the plating tank.

Abstract:
A web transport system for transporting a web of media along a web-transport path including a fluid bar for guiding the web of media, and a scavenger blade positioned downstream of the fluid bar. A liquid is pumped through holes in an exterior bearing surface of the fluid bar, thereby pushing the web of media away from the fluid bar. The scavenger bar includes a blade edge facing the first surface of the web of media, the blade edge being spaced apart from the first surface of the web of media by a gap distance. The scavenger blade removes at least some liquid from the first surface of the web of media as it passes by the scavenger blade, thereby reducing the amount of liquid that is carried along to portions of the web-transport path that are downstream of the scavenger blade.
Abstract:
A swimming pool cleaning system for removing stains and deposits on the bottom and walls of a swimming pool. The cleaning system includes a cleaning tool having an elongated handle pivotally secured to a tool head, wherein the tool head dispenses a cleaning solution for removing stains and deposits. The tool head may also include an absorbent or sponge-like material thereon and one or more scrapers to help remove deposits. The tool head is in fluid communication with a container in which a cleaning solution can be stored. The container includes a pump thereon for allowing the user to selectively deliver the cleaning solution to the cleaning tool. Thus, the cleaning system allows a user to more easily remove stains and deposits from the walls and bottom of a pool.

Abstract:
Fluid pressure balanced cantilever support structure, particularly adapted for paper making machinery, such as doctor backs, headbox bottom aprons and the like. The support is in the form of a stationary shaft fixed at its ends having a roll shell rotatably mounted on the shaft. The shaft and roll shell have cooperating radial vanes sealed to the respective shaft and shell and forming a fluid pressure chamber in the space therebetween. Fluid under a uniform pressure is maintained between the vanes to resist beam deflection and beam rotation.
