摘要: The present disclosure pertains to a deposition system, a method and use of such system for filling a groove provided into surface of a workpiece with a printable medium, in particular a highly viscous paste. The system includes a deposition head that includes a first deposition chamber that extends to a first orifice. The orifice is reversibly closed off between at least two shutter elements. In some embodiments the system is a dual chamber system, each chamber having a reversible closable orifice. The system is arranged to maintain a flush physical relationship between the workpiece and the terminal ends of the shutter elements, so as to, upon application of a working pressure, fill the groove.

摘要: A method for coating a paper drinking straw, an apparatus for coating a paper drinking straw, and a coated drinking straw assembly are disclosed. The apparatus includes a dipping tank containing a liquid bath for coating a straw when submerged in the liquid and a straw engagement means for submerging the straw in the bath. The method includes receiving an uncoated paper drinking straw and submerging the straw in a bath containing a water-resistant and/or a water-soluble coating. The drinking straw assembly includes an elongate tubular body and a coating that has been applied to all surfaces of the straw by submerging the body in a bath containing the coating.

摘要: A nozzle includes a body. The body includes a supply port to which a liquid is supplied, a vent from which the liquid is discharged downward, and a flow channel that extends between the supply port and the vent. The flow channel includes: a storage including a first part through which the liquid flows downward to the vent, and a second part provided downstream of the first part, through which the liquid flows upward to the vent; and an exhaust capable of exhausting a gas upstream of the second part while the liquid is not discharged from the vent and is stored in the storage. The storage includes a third part connecting the first part and the second part. The exhaust includes a bypass channel that leads to parts upstream and downstream of the third part in the flow channel.

摘要: A vacuum shut off valve mechanism for a soil fumigant applicator includes a pneumatic cylinder that is operably connected to respective fumigant dispensing tubes and shanks of the applicator through a flow divider. A pair of switch operated valves respectively control the flow of fumigant to the flow divider and operation of the pneumatic cylinder. In a first switch state a first valve is opened to deliver fumigant to the flow divider and a second valve operates the pneumatic cylinder to pressurize the flow divider and allow delivery of the fumigant to the dispensing shanks. In a second state, the first valve is closed and the second valve operates the pneumatic cylinder to draw a vacuum, which restricts dripping and leaking of residual fumigant from the tubes and dispensing shanks.
