摘要: A vacuum shut off valve mechanism for a soil fumigant applicator includes a pneumatic cylinder that is operably connected to respective fumigant dispensing tubes and shanks of the applicator through a flow divider. A pair of switch operated valves respectively control the flow of fumigant to the flow divider and operation of the pneumatic cylinder. In a first switch state a first valve is opened to deliver fumigant to the flow divider and a second valve operates the pneumatic cylinder to pressurize the flow divider and allow delivery of the fumigant to the dispensing shanks. In a second state, the first valve is closed and the second valve operates the pneumatic cylinder to draw a vacuum, which restricts dripping and leaking of residual fumigant from the tubes and dispensing shanks.

摘要: A method for multi-agent dry fogging. The method includes pressurizing a first agent to a first range of pressure. The first agent includes a sterilant. The method also includes pressurizing a second agent to a second range of pressure. The second agent includes a non-depleting solution for protection against microorganism growth. The method also includes pressurizing a gas to a gas range of pressure. The method also includes atomizing the first agent at a nozzle to mix with the pressurized gas in a first application stage to disperse the first agent in a first dry fog within an ambient environment. The method also includes atomizing the second agent at the nozzle to mix with the pressurized gas in a second application stage to disperse the second agent in a second dry fog within the ambient environment.

摘要: A method for fumigating an enclosed space (12) comprises the steps of containing a gaseous fumigant at a discrete location within the enclosed space (12) so as to displace a volume of gas from the enclosed space, and releasing the contained fumigant from the discrete location and into the enclosed space. The method can employ an apparatus (10) that comprises a flexible enclosure (12) that is inflatable and deflatable with a gas between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration. The enclosure (12) can be positioned within the enclosed space (12) prior to fumigant introduction. The apparatus (10) can also comprise an inlet (16) arranged at the enclosure to receive gaseous fumigant therethrough for inflation of the enclosure (12), as well as an outlet (20) and a valve (24) arranged at the enclosure (12). The valve (24) can open and close the outlet (20) to gas flow therethrough such that, when open, gaseous fumigant can be released from the enclosure (12) via the outlet (20) and into the enclosed space (2).

The apparatus may include a first conduit segment to extend between a load portion of a cargo vessel chamber and a support portion of the cargo vessel chamber opposite the load portion. The apparatus may also include a second conduit segment coupled with the first conduit segment to extend over the support portion between opposing sidewalls of the cargo vessel chamber. In one example, the second conduit segment may include a plurality of apertures to allow a fumigant that is to be injected to the first conduit segment to be ejected from the second conduit segment. The fumigant may include a gas, such as phosphine gas.

摘要: A flying insect spray apparatus includes a casing having upper and lower portions that define an interior area. The casing may be mounted to a wall or ceiling of an enclosed structure such as a garage. A reservoir configured to hold an insecticide is positioned in the interior area, the reservoir having an outlet such as a hose. A pump is positioned in the interior area and electrically connected to the reservoir and configured to cause the insecticide to be urged from the reservoir when the pump is electrically actuated. The outlet is in fluid communication with a plurality of nozzles spaced apart radially about a dispensing member such that the insecticide is dispersed in a 360 degree radius of the casing. The spray apparatus includes a controller electrically connected to the pump that includes a timer, the controller configured to actuate the pump at a predetermined time.

The systems include a plurality of passive flow control nozzles containing mass-regulating barriers with retaining fixtures, strategically positioned and uniquely oriented, connected to volatile compound-storage structures with replenishing connectors, for delivering controlled release of volatile compounds using individual passive flow control nozzles that dispense volatile compounds at continuous, predetermined, substantially constant and sustainable release rates over extended periods of time; appurtenances to protect the mass-regulating barriers while in operation; and sensors to monitor the biologically active threshold and the concentrations of volatile compound within the pre-designed geometrically shaped volumes of volatile compounds.

摘要: A pest control dispersal spray system for a building preferably includes a reservoir having a cavity housing a pest control agent. The reservoir has a discharge mechanism selectively expelling the existing pest control agent outwardly and away from the reservoir while the reservoir remains at a stationary position. A discharge nozzle may be attached to the reservoir and may be in fluid communication with the cavity. A plurality of interconnected tubes may be located exterior of the reservoir and may be in fluid communication with the discharge nozzle. In this manner, activation of the discharge mechanism causes the existing pest control agent to flow through the cavity, egress the reservoir via the discharge nozzle, and thereafter travel along the interconnected tubes such that the existing pest control agent is dispersed outwardly from the interconnected tubes while the reservoir remains stationary.
