摘要: The present invention is directed to a digital aroma system that provides a scented air on demand to various devices in various forms and user held devices including: remote controls, video game controllers and mobile computing devices. Dry fragrance infused substrates are contained in fragrance cartridges that are removably mounted in a cassette that is connected to a manifold that has airway passages that are connected to fans or pumps that are controlled by a computer processor. In response to a fragrance control signal or a fragrance trigger, the processor can selectively direct scented air having a specified fragrance to a system user.

摘要: A system and method for remotely controlling behavior of multiple devices are presented. The system comprises a plurality of devices, e.g. puffers, and a remote master controller. Each device includes a radio frequency (RF) control system for programming and control of its operation. The communication between the puffer and the master controller during mass programming is through Bluetooth Low Energy peripheral mode and observer mode. Using its peripheral mode, the master controller advertises a desired program for the puffers in an orchard through a custom UUID. Each puffer picks up and parses the custom UUID and reprograms itself. Each puffer also uses its peripheral mode to advertise its configuration to be picked up by the master controller so that the master controller can verify that the puffer has correctly reprogrammed itself based on the mass programming advertisement.

摘要: A seed composition for growing grasses to deter geese, deer and other animals transmitting diseases like Lyme disease through ticks and droppings. The composition includes: (a) about 20-50% by weight Hard Fescue; (b) about 20-50% by weight Creeping Red Fescue; and (c) about 20-50% by weight Chewings Fescue. Optionally, it may further include up to 20% of a high endophytic tall fescue, high endophytic ryegrass or combinations thereof. The resulting grasses require little to no regular mowing.

摘要: The invention provides a hydrocarbon-fueled device for heating and dispensing a volatile substance, such as an insect repellent. The device provides a long-lasting 48-hour fuel system, multiple fuel canisters that can be exchanged without interrupting the operation of the device, an illuminated indicator that provides a visible indication of the operating state of the device from any viewing angle, and a flame-extinguishing safety lid. During the warm-up phase, the indicator indicates this state by pulsing. Once the device reaches operating temperature, the indicator emits a steady light, indicating proper operation. In the event that the device cools below the operating temperature, the light will pulse, alerting the user to check the flame and/or fuel supply. The user can initiate complete, properly-controlled operation of all functions of the device via the operation of a single on-off switch.

摘要: An apparatus and method for testing the efficacy of an insect repellent is disclosed. The apparatus according to one embodiment includes a housing having an aperture extending through a wall of the housing, a carbon dioxide delivery device coupled to the housing through the aperture, a skin substitute substrate, and a heater coupled to the substrate. The method includes the steps of providing a skin substitute substrate, treating the skin substitute substrate with an insect repellent, exposing a plurality of insects to the treated skin substitute substrate for a first period of time, blocking the treated skin substitute substrate from the plurality of insects for a second period of time, and recording the insect repellent's complete protection time.
