摘要: Digital serializer/deserializer circuitry includes a data path and a date eye monitoring path. The data path includes a first analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to sample incoming data at a first rate, first digital filter circuitry to filter output of the first ADC, and a data slicer coupled to output of the first digital filter circuitry to output data above a threshold. The monitoring path includes a second ADC to sample the incoming data at a second rate lower than the first rate and to take samples at varying points along the incoming data waveform, second digital filter circuitry to filter output of the second ADC, and another data slicer coupled to output of the second digital filter circuitry to output data above an adjustable threshold and to sweep through varying threshold values. Error rate circuitry compares outputs of the data slicers to determine a data eye error rate.

摘要: A system includes a modulator to modulate data using Quadrature Phase Shift Keying modulation and dual sub-carrier modulation to generate modulated symbols for transmission on a plurality of subcarriers. A repetition module repeats the modulated symbols from a first half of the plurality of subcarriers to a second half of the plurality of subcarriers. A phase rotation module rotates phase of the modulated symbols on selected subcarriers of the second half of the plurality of subcarriers. The selected subcarriers include all of the second half of the plurality of subcarriers. The phase rotation module rotates the phase of the modulated symbols on all of the second half of the plurality of subcarriers to conjugate the modulated symbols on all of the second half of the plurality of subcarriers relative to corresponding modulated symbols on all of the first half of the plurality of subcarriers.

摘要: A first cache module, comprising fully associative cache circuitry, provides TLB entries for a first group of multiple page sizes. A second cache module, comprising set associative cache circuitry, provides TLB entries for a second group of multiple page sizes. Managing TLB entries includes: performing a search in the first cache module based on selected tag bits of a target virtual address that are selected for each TLB entry in the first cache module based on information stored in the first cache module corresponding to one of the multiple pages sizes in the first group, and performing multiple search iterations in the second cache module based on selected index bits and selected tag bits of the target virtual address, where quantities of bits in the selected index bits and the selected tag bits are different for each of the search iterations.

摘要: Methods produce IC devices that include a multiplexor that is electrically connected to a bandgap reference generator and a charge pump. The multiplexor receives voltage levels of a voltage-boosted clock signal being output by the charge pump to the bandgap reference generator. The multiplexor outputs, to the charge pump, either: a retry signal (if the voltage levels of the voltage-boosted clock signal being output by the charge pump are below a voltage threshold) or a pump signal (if the voltage levels of the voltage-boosted clock signal being output by the charge pump are not below the voltage threshold). The pump signal causes the charge pump to output the voltage-boosted clock signal to the bandgap reference generator. The retry signal causes the charge pump to not output the voltage-boosted clock signal to the bandgap reference generator, and instead to precharge the charge pump.

摘要: A controller operates to adjust a transmitter to optimize transmission of a communications signal. The controller measures properties of a signal received from a transmitter, and generates a figure of merit (FOM) for the signal. The FOM is compared against a record of previous FOMs and corresponding previous transmitter tap values, the transmitter tap value indicating settings of a transmitter equalizer of the transmitter during transmission of the signal. A differential between the FOM and a plurality of the previous FOMs is determined, and, in response to the differential being positive, a subsequent tap value is selected from a subset of potential tap values. The subsequent tap value is sent to the transmitter for adjustment of the transmitter equalizer.

摘要: Systems, devices, and techniques relating to a link layer service platform (LSP) that provides, among other things, assisted multi-band wireless communications are described. A described device includes a first radio to transmit and receive based on a first wireless protocol; a second radio to transmit and receive based on a second wireless protocol, the second wireless protocol being different from the first wireless protocol; and a controller to use the first radio to assist communications via the second radio. The controller can be configured to cause the first radio to transmit, receive, or both one or more control frames associated with the second wireless protocol using the first wireless protocol, and cause the second radio to transmit or receive one or more data frames using the second wireless protocol in accordance with the one or more control frames.

摘要: Adjusting automatic gain control of a receiver, in a short-range wireless system having a plurality of channels and a plurality of receiving antennas, includes setting initial gain to be set by receiver AGC based on signals received at a receiver reference antenna, receiving, at each of the receiving antennas, a signal on a current channel, and adjusting gain to be set by AGC for the signal to prevent saturation. Angle-of-arrival estimation may be performed following adjusting of the AGC. Adjusting AGC may include backing off the AGC, changing the reference antenna prior to deriving gain to be set by AGC, or determining gain to be set by AGC at additional receiving antennas, and for each antenna that is not the reference antenna and is not one of the additional antennas, selecting gain to be set by AGC from a closest one of the reference antenna and the additional antennas.
