    Abstract: This application provides a method for communicating a modulation and coding scheme (MCS). A terminal device obtains a modulation order, a code rate, or a spectral efficiency, determines an index of a reference MCS from a mapping table based on the obtained modulation order, code rate, or spectral efficiency, and reports the index of the reference MCS to a network device. The mapping table includes one or more mapping relationships between an MCS index and a modulation order, a code rate, or a spectral efficiency. The terminal device may process uplink or downlink data based on the determined MCS, thereby improving data transmission reliability.

    Abstract: Example polar coding methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes determining a sequence used to code to-be-coded bits. Polar coding is performed on the to-be-coded bits by using the sequence to obtain coded bits. The sequence is used to represent a reliability order of N polarized channels, N is a mother code length of a polar code, and N is a positive integer power of 2.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a waterproof structure of a pad, a waterproof pad, and a method for forming the waterproof structure. The waterproof structure includes a first dielectric layer, having an annular hollowed-out recess along the periphery of the first dielectric layer and a metal annular zone formed in the annular hollowed-out recess, and a second dielectric layer, formed above the first dielectric layer and located under the pad and having multiple first through-holes along the periphery of the second dielectric layer and multiple metal posts formed in the multiple first through-holes, where the multiple first through-holes form a hollow annular through-hole chain and the metal annular zone maintains an electrical connection with the multiple metal posts.
