Abstract: A device for controlling in-vehicle signage is disposed to provide a physical indication of a particular in-vehicle sign. The data defining the particular sign is associated with data defining a trigger point for causing the occurrence of the indication of the particular sign. The device is adapted for control by a processor that is responsive to a conflict between the particular sign and at least one of another sign or a message and is disposed to alter the data defining the trigger point to remove the conflict. The trigger point is defined by the intersection of the path of a vehicle and a trigger zone extending spatially from a defined location of the particular sign.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system and a method for jointly controlling one or multiple connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) and one or multiple human-driven vehicles (HDVs) subject to integer constraints for crossing each of multiple intersections on a road. The method comprises collecting digital representation of states of each of the CAVs, HDVs, and traffic signs, solving an optimization problem jointly optimizing traffic flows based on a macroscopic traffic flow model in a centralized traffic controller (CTC) subject to convex relaxation of the integer constraints, solving a multi-variable mixed-integer programming (MIP) problem in each of multiple intersection traffic controllers (ITCs) optimizing a cost function and minimizing tracking errors in traffic flow values of a microscopic traffic flow model with respect to relaxed traffic flow values from the CTC, and transmitting the optimized values of the control commands to the corresponding CAVs and corresponding traffic signs.

Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring use, determining risk, and pricing insurance policies for a vehicle having one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous operation features are provided. According to certain aspects, an identity of a vehicle operator may be determined and a vehicle operator profile and/or operating data regarding autonomous operation features of the vehicle may be received after the vehicle operator opts into a rewards program and agrees to share their data. Autonomous operation and vehicle operator risk levels associated with operation of the autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be determined. Based upon the risk levels and/or comparison thereof, one or more autonomous operation features may he disengaged. A preparedness level of the vehicle operator to assume or reassume control of operating the vehicle is determined prior to disengagement. If satisfactory, an alert is presented to the vehicle operator prior to disengagement of the autonomous operation features.

Abstract: A support device is a support device by which a support operation to support a host vehicle to stop is performable. The support device includes: a determination unit configured to, when a light color of a traffic light is a light color that requires the host vehicle to stop, determine whether or not alerting on the traffic light is performed as the support operation, based on a speed of the host vehicle and a distance from a current position of the host vehicle to a stop reference position; and a recognition unit configured to recognize a surrounding state around the host vehicle. The stop reference position in a case where a crossing pedestrian is recognized by the recognition unit is closer to the host vehicle than the stop reference position in a case where no pedestrian is recognized by the recognition unit.
