摘要: A fluid delivery system, method, and apparatus for providing instillation therapy with a negative-pressure source is described. The apparatus includes a housing having an ambient chamber and a negative-pressure chamber fluidly isolated from each other. The apparatus also includes a moveable barrier disposed in the housing between the ambient chamber and the negative-pressure chamber. The moveable barrier is operable to move between a charge position and a discharge position in response to negative pressure. A fluid source is disposed in the negative-pressure chamber and is collapsible in response to movement of the moveable barrier to the discharge position. The apparatus also includes a fluid outlet in fluid communication with the fluid source, a negative-pressure port in fluid communication with the negative-pressure chamber and configured to be coupled to a negative-pressure source, and a vent formed in the housing and fluidly coupled to the ambient chamber.

摘要: A barrier for use in negative pressure wound therapy can include a base layer and surface structures. The barrier can be used to reduce or prevent tissue ingrowth. A method of using a negative pressure wound therapy system can include positioning a perforated barrier in a wound. After positioning the perforated barrier in the wound, positioning a pad in the wound on top of the perforated barrier, positioning a seal on top of the wound to at least partially seal the perforated barrier and the foam in the wound, and applying negative pressure wound therapy to the wound.

摘要: In one example embodiment, a system for stimulating tissue with the application of temperature-regulated fluid and negative pressure comprises a negative-pressure source adapted to provide negative pressure to a dressing. The system may further comprise a thermoelectric module thermally coupled to a first heat exchange chamber and a second heat exchange chamber and adapted to transfer heat between said heat exchange chambers. The thermoelectric module can be further adapted to maintain a temperature-regulated fluid fluidly coupled to the first heat exchange chamber and the dressing within a predetermined temperature range by adding heat to and extracting heat from the temperature-regulated fluid as it passes through the first heat exchange chamber.

摘要: An ultrasound catheter with fluid delivery lumens, fluid evacuation lumens and a light source is used for the treatment of intracerebral hemorrhages. After the catheter is inserted into a blood clot in the brain, a lytic drug can be delivered to the blood clot via the fluid delivery lumens while applying ultrasonic energy to the treatment site. As the blood clot is dissolved, the liquefied blood clot can be removed by evacuation through the fluid evacuation lumens.
