摘要: Devices and methods for wound treatment are disclosed. A chamber may define a treatment space having an interior engineered surface including a plurality of structures configured to provide pathways for the distribution of negative pressure and to exert mechanical stress on a wound. One or more tubes may be in fluid communication with the treatment space to facilitate the application of negative pressure, the introduction of therapeutic agents, and the removal of wound material. Therapeutic agents may be formulated with a gel, for example, a hydrogel, a hydrocolloid, alginate, methyl cellulose, gelatin or any other gels for sustained-release and enhanced usability. A wound fluid collection device including an absorbable material may interface with the wound treatment device to facilitate the collection and disposal of wound material.

摘要: A surgical fluid manager includes a pump releasably engageable to tubing and a user interface. The user interface is configured to enable finger-touch selection of a fluid flow rate through the tubing and configured to operate in at least one of a first mode or a second mode. In the first mode, the flow rate is controlled via direct selection of one of a plurality of selectable digital numeric values, while in the second mode the flow rate is controlled via user selection of one alphanumeric identifier within a scale of alphanumeric identifiers. Each respective alphanumeric identifier directly corresponds to just one instrument size within a scale of instrument sizes.

摘要: An apparatus for treating a tissue site comprising a negative-pressure source configured to be fluidly coupled to the tissue site; an instillation source configured to be fluidly coupled to the tissue site; and a controller operatively coupled to the negative-pressure source and to the instillation source. The controller can be configured to operate the negative-pressure source and the instillation source to intermittently deliver negative pressure to the tissue site for a negative-pressure interval and deliver instillation fluid to the tissue site for an instillation interval. A purge volume of instillation fluid may be delivered to the tissue site at a purge frequency. In some examples, the purge volume may be delivered through the second fluid conductor and removed through the first fluid conductor during a negative-pressure interval.

摘要: An in vivo temperature control system including a catheter insertable into a living body; a temperature sensor that can measure the temperature in the living body; a liquid storage section that stores a liquid; a pump that supplies the liquid from the liquid storage section to the catheter; and a control section that controls driving of the pump; wherein the control section calculates a difference obtained by subtracting an integrated amount of the liquid sucked inside of the catheter from an integrated amount of the liquid released outside of the catheter, and allows the pump to operate and suck the liquid into the catheter when the difference exceeds a preset threshold, and then stop the driving of the pump when the difference reaches the preset threshold or less.
