    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a thrust bearing for a turbo compressor, the thrust bearing has a structure that is modified in response to a portion where a deformation amount of a thrust runner is relatively large on the basis of magnitude of a force applied at the time of rotation of a shaft of a turbo compressor, to maintain a thickness of an oil film constantly and to increase a load supporting force of the thrust bearing, thereby ensuring improved durability of the thrust bearing.

    Abstract: A turbo compressor is provided that may include an impeller housing having an impeller accommodation space, an inlet formed at a first side of the impeller accommodation space, and an outlet formed at a second side of the impeller accommodation space that communicates with the inlet; an impeller accommodated in the impeller accommodation space of the impeller housing, rotated together with a rotary shaft by being coupled to the rotary shaft, and configured to centrifugally-compress a fluid suctioned through the inlet of the impeller housing and discharge the compressed fluid outside of the impeller housing through the outlet; a back pressure space formed between a rear surface of the impeller and the impeller housing; a back pressure passage connected between the outlet of the impeller housing and the back pressure space; and a back pressure control valve installed between the back pressure passage and the back pressure space, and configured to selectively open and close a region therebetween.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a casing having a sealed inner space; a drive motor provided in the inner space of the casing to generate a rotational force; a rotational shaft rotatably coupled to the drive motor; an orbiting scroll formed of an aluminum material, and coupled to the rotational shaft to perform an orbiting movement; a fixed scroll coupled to the orbiting scroll to form a compression space; and an Oldham ring coupled to the orbiting scroll, and formed of a sintered metal. With this structure, it may be possible to prevent the Oldham ring from being worn out due to contact with the orbiting scroll. Further, a weight loss portion or wear-resistant coating layer may be formed on a portion of the Oldham ring, thereby suppressing or preventing vibration noise of the scroll compressor from being increased due to a weight increase of the Oldham ring.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a casing, a main frame, a rotational shaft, an orbiting scroll, a fixed scroll, and an oil supply guide. A second oil supply guide of the oil supply guide may be disposed in at least one of the orbiting scroll or the fixed scroll and extend along a thrust bearing surface between the orbiting scroll and the fixed scroll to provide communication between a first oil supply guide and a compression chamber having a lower pressure than an oil storage space. This may produce a great pressure difference between ends of an oil supply passage including the first oil supply guide and the second oil supply guide, and allow smooth oil supply using differential pressure to the thrust bearing surface between the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is disclosed. The scroll compressor includes a rotating shaft coupling portion axially extending from a central portion of an orbiting end plate to radially overlap an orbiting wrap, such that an eccentric portion of a rotating shaft is coupled thereto, and a portion of the orbiting wrap may extend from an end surface of the rotating shaft coupling portion facing a fixed end plate. With the configuration, a distance between bearing reaction force and gas reaction force acting on the orbiting scroll can be reduced, to stabilize a behavior of the orbiting scroll and thus reduce back pressure, thereby decreasing friction loss between scrolls. Simultaneously, compression chambers can be formed even in a central portion of the orbiting scroll, which can increase a compression ratio and improve volumetric efficiency.

    Abstract: A vane rotary compressor has a cylinder. A main bearing and a sub bearing are coupled to the cylinder forming a compression space. The main and sub bearing each have a back pressure pocket on a surface facing the cylinder. The main bearing and the sub bearing radially support a rotation shaft. A roller coupled to the shaft is disposed within the compression space. The roller has circumferentially spaced vane slots, each vane slot extending from an open end on an outer circumferential surface of the roller to a back pressure chamber disposed within the roller at an opposite end of each vane slot. A plurality of vanes slide within the vane slots and divide the compression space into compression chambers. At least one of the back pressure chambers in the vane slots fluidly communicates with at least one of the back pressure pockets in the main and sub bearings.
