Abstract: The invention relates to an eccentric screw pump, including a rotor, which forms a conveying screw, and a stator, which forms a screw flight and in which the rotor rotates during conveying operation, wherein: the stator includes a stator housing, in which a stator lining is disposed, the stator lining reproducing the screw flight; the stator lining is a sleeve which is supported, at its outer periphery, on the stator housing by means of a support structure which forms cavities; the support structure is designed and dimensioned, in accordance with the location of its connection to the sleeve, in such a way that the supporting effect provided by the support structure is matched to the local needs of the sleeve.

A contoured stress relief is provided in the stator to compensate for rotor tilt, where the taper is preferably more aggressive at the lower end of the stator near the bit.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a metallic rotor of an eccentric screw pump, comprising clamping a workpiece extending along a central longitudinal axis in a workpiece clamping device and removing material from the workpiece by cutting with a cutting tool. The invention further comprises not producing the surface of the rotor in a three-axis whirling process, using the cutting tool to produce the outer surface geometry of the rotor, advancing the cutting tool along an axis of advance that is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rotor, and rotating the cutting tool about an axis of tool rotation that is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rotor.

Abstract: Liquid ring pumps are used to pump a variety of fluid types. The present invention provides a two stage liquid ring pump through which an exhaust gas comprising compounds to be destroyed is passed. The exhaust gas passes through the first stage to a gas abatement device, following which it is passed back to the second stage of the liquid ring pump for removal of the compounds formed in said abatement device. The stages of the liquid ring pump may be adjustable.

At least one of the setting structure and/or the rotor structure is a material composite structure including a molded region made of plastic and a functional region which is fixedly connected to the molded region and made of a functional material which has a different chemical composition to the plastic of the molded region.
