摘要: Disclosed herein is a plastic microchip used in counting the number of microparticles and a method for manufacturing the same and, more particularly, to a plastic microchip including a negative microgrid pattern formed on a lower substrate, a solvent channel and solvent inlets for a solvent welding process, and a method for manufacturing the plastic microchip by injection molding the lower substrate on which a negative microgrid pattern is formed and by injecting a solvent through the solvent inlets so as to fix an upper substrate to the lower substrate.According to the present invention, it is possible to form a microgrid pattern of a relatively narrow width deeply and uniformly as a negative microgrid pattern is formed on the lower substrate and thereby to provide a clear microgrid pattern, thus facilitating accurate observation of microparticles. Moreover, it is also possible to provide a uniform height of an injection chamber by welding an upper substrate and a lower substrate to each other by a solvent welding process, thus ensuring a more accurate analysis result.

摘要: A method for generating a block-based image histogram from data compressed by JPEG, MPEG-1, and MPEG-2, or uncompressed image data employing block-based linear quantization to generate histograms that include color, brightness, and edge components. The edge histogram, in particular, includes the global edge features, semi-global edge features, and local edge features. The global edge histogram is based on image blocks of the entire image space. The local edge histogram is based on a group of edge blocks. The semi-global edge histogram is based on the horizontally and the vertically grouped image blocks. A method for generating block-based image histogram with color information and brightness information of image data in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention extracts feature information of an image in terms of the block and updates global histogram bins on the basis of the feature information. The method for generating block-based image histogram with color information and brightness information of image data minimizes quantization error by employing linear weight and updates values of histogram bins. The error that occurs at a boundary between bins of the histograms and the linear weight depends on the distance between the histogram bins.

摘要: A backlight inverter for an LCD panel of an asynchronous pulse width modulation (PWM) driving type which is capable of driving a plurality of cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) in pairs and controlling a plurality of PWM drive signals for respective operations of the lamps to make the phases thereof different. The backlight inverter comprises a main driving integrated circuit (IC), at least one sub-driving IC, and a plurality of lamp operating circuits for operating the pairs of lamps in response to the first and second PWM drive signals and the third and fourth PWM drive signals, respectively. The lamps have different PWM on/off periods so that overshoot of a power supply circuit can be reduced so as to keep the entire system power stable.
