摘要: A method for printing a marking on a golf ball includes arranging ink in an etching pattern on a printing plate, matching a reference position on the plate to a reference position on the golf ball, transferring the ink from the printing plate to a pad, and transferring the ink from the pad to the golf ball such that the golf ball includes the marking. The pattern includes an etch corresponding to the marking, wherein the etch differs from the marking in a manner dependent on the position of the marking on the golf ball. The marking that results on the golf ball is a linear marking, and a centerline of the linear marking lies entirely within a marking plane that is not a centerline plane of the golf ball, and wherein the edges of the marking are parallel with the marking plane.

摘要: In a golf ball having a core of at least one layer and a cover of at least one layer, an outermost layer of the cover is formed of an ionomer resin composition which includes specific amounts of (a) an olefin-α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer and/or a metal ion neutralization product thereof, or an olefin-α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid-α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester copolymer and/or a metal ion neutralization product thereof, (b) an oxazoline group-containing polymer, (c) an inorganic filler, and (d) a colorant which includes a fluorescent dye or a fluorescent pigment. This golf ball has a translucent appearance that holds down transparency of the ball surface to a suitable level and undergoes relatively little change in color when fading occurs due to sunlight exposure, and is thus both weather resistant and decorative.

摘要: Golf balls having covers made of thermoplastic polyurethane compositions are provided. Multi-piece golf balls can be made. In one embodiment, the outer cover layer is formed from a composition comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane and epoxy compound. Mixtures of multi-functional amines and imines, and multi-functional isocyanates, and epoxy curing agents; and solvent, can be applied to the outer cover. The resulting coating may contain polyurethanes, polyureas, and hybrids, copolymers, and blends thereof. The cover composition and surface coatings can further include catalysts, ultraviolet (UV)-light stabilizers, and other additives. The coating methods have many benefits and the finished balls have good physical properties.

摘要: Golf ball having CoR of at least 0.700 and compression of at least 50 and comprising a layer of a mixture of thermoset or thermoplastic composition and a plurality of conductive nanoshelled structures such as conductive hollow nanoshells and/or nanorice particles. Conductive nanoshelled structures may be included in amount of from about 2 wt % to greater than 50 wt. % of total weight of mixture. Diameter of each conductive nano shelled structure at widest cross-section may be up to 1000 nm. Each conductive hollow nanoshell may have shell thickness to longitudinal diameter ratio of from about 1:3 to about 1:100. Each nanorice particle may have longitudinal diameter of up to 1000 nm. Shell thickness can be from 1 nm to 100 nm and may be controlled. A layer consisting of mixture may have specific gravity that differs from specific gravity of a layer consisting of the thermoset or thermoplastic composition portion of mixture.

摘要: A golf utility device includes upper and lower baseplates and a ball alignment tool. The alignment tool is mechanically coupled with, but rotationally independent of, the upper and lower base plates. The alignment tool includes an upper surface with an arrow. Before putting, a golfer places the golf utility device on the green behind a ball that has been circumscribed with an annular ring, removes the ball, calculates the line of play, and aligns the arrow therewith. The ball is then returned to the green with the annular ring aligned by the arrow on the alignment tool. A golfer subsequently aligns his putt using the alignment of the annular ring. Additional golf tools may be attached to the upper or lower baseplates, including, but not limited to, a ball marker, a divot repair tool, a range finder, a spike wrench, a golf tee, and a fidget/focus device.

摘要: A method of forming a golf ball is disclosed herein. The method includes injecting a cover mixture into a mold to form a cover mixture comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane resin and a polyahl, subjecting the golf ball to a polyisocyanated solution to create a golf ball with a polyisocyanated cover, and heating the golf ball or polyisocyanated cover to remove a solvent component of the polyisocyanated solution and promote the reaction of the polyisocyanate with the cover mixture and polyahl.
