摘要: There is described a system and method for tracking a tag. The system and method includes a concentrator for receiving, via a one-way Bluetooth low energy (BLE) communication, at least one data packet broadcasted by a tag during a time slot assigned to the tag and identifying the tag based on the at least one data packet. The system and method also includes a gateway in communication with the concentrator for receiving the identification of the tag from the concentrator and outputting the identification of the tag.

摘要: A medical instrument assembly including a handle assembly having a first handle portion and a second handle portion proximate the second end, wherein the second handle portion is slidably engaged with the first handle portion. A first localization element is attached to the first handle portion and a second localization element is attached to the second handle portion. A medical instrument is mechanically coupled to the second handle portion and a translation of the second handle portion with respect to the first handle portion causes a coincident and coextensive translation of the medical instrument. The amount of translation of the medical instrument is adapted to be determined by calculating the distance between the first localization element and the second localization element. The first and second localization elements may be electromagnetic sensors which positions may be determined by a navigation system.

摘要: A medical device and its method of use includes a catheter, at least two electromagnetic sensing coils located within the distal tip of the catheter, and a multi-element planar ultrasound transducer array located within the distal tip of the catheter and configured to transmit and receive ultrasonic energy. The device also includes an imaging system coupled to the ultrasound transducer and is used for creating an image of tissue in a first target plane that extends orthogonally from the catheter body. The medical device also includes a backscatter evaluation system for use in receiving and evaluating the acoustic spectral characteristics of tissues within a second target area within the first target plane.

摘要: Disclosed is a hand and arm support assembly for use by a user or patient to rehabilitate a hand of the patient. The hand and arm support assembly includes a hand actuator assembly and a forearm rest assembly. The hand actuator assembly provides a support for a hand engagement assembly having a housing and hand actuator rod engagement members projecting upwards therefrom to engage the hand of the patient. The housing is rotatable to accommodate the position of the patient's hand and the rod engagement members are adapted to travel along slots towards and away from one another. The forearm rest assembly includes a first carriage and a second carriage to support the forearm and elbow of the patient. The first and second carriage can pivot about an axis relative to the housing to further accommodate the position of the patient's arm and elbow.

摘要: A micro moulding machine and process for forming small plastic parts for the medical device industry. The machine adds heat in two steps to a precision sized plastic pellet and then displaces the entire pellet volume into the mould cavity. A substantial amount of heat is added to the pellet by forcing it through an orifice very near the gate of the mould. The pneumatic pressure to drive the pellet through the orifice is controlled to regulate the amount of heat introduced into the pellet.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a high-power unipolar water electrolysis plant including a rectifier, a first U-bank, and a second U-bank electrically connected in series to the rectifier and to the first U-bank. Each U-bank is formed by a pair of adjacent, longitudinal cell arrays electrically connected to each other. The cell arrays are arranged in a spaced apart, side-by-side arrangement with a service corridor defined therebetween to allow sectional maintenance to be performed on each cell array. Each cell array has a plurality of unipolar water electrolyser cells. Each U-bank has input conduits for delivering water and cooling water to each cell array, output conduits for carrying hydrogen gas, oxygen gas and cooling water away from each cell array. The high-power unipolar water electrolysis plant includes a first jumper and a second jumper to isolate the U-bank, an electrical bypass busbar extension and a third jumper to bypass the U-bank.

摘要: A customizable case former and it system and method of use provide for a case former having a base, interchangeable case gages and forming heads. Contained within the interior of the base are slide blocks mounted on slide rails and assemblies in such a manner as to allow the slide blocks to be slidingly reconfigured to form a case forming cavity of varicose sizes and shapes. The size and shape of the case forming cavity is established and maintained by a template opening, defined by, and potentially unique to, each case gage. The size and shape of the forming head corresponds to the size and shape of the template opening. The slide blocks are secured to the case gage by removable locking pins.

摘要: A method of registering a real-time image feed from an imaging device inserted into a steerable catheter using a navigation system is provided. The method includes inserting the imaging device into a working channel of the steerable catheter and generating a real-time image feed of one or more reference points, wherein the orientation of the reference points is known. The method further includes orienting a handle of the steerable catheter to a neutral position, displaying the real-time image feed on a display of the navigation system, and registering the real-time image feed to the steerable catheter by rotating the displayed image so that the reference points in the real-time image feed are matched to the known orientation of the reference points.

摘要: A user interface verification device and a method of use is presented for recognizing a three-hand gesture on a touchscreen of the device. The gesture is recognized by detecting a plurality of contact points in at least two, disparate touching zones, and simultaneously detecting additional contact points in a third, disparate touching zone. In one embodiment, the device displays content in a review mode that can be reviewed in a normal manner. In the execution mode, the device requires a signature, a touch, or another sign of acceptance involving a touch within the third touching zone. The device can ensure that a customer directly provides consent by requiring that the two, multi-point touching zones are tactilely engaged by both hands of a presenter while in the execution mode.
