Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication of a UE determines to transmit data in a set of RBs to at least one other UE in at least one subframe. The at least one subframe includes a first subset of symbols configured for use for transmission collision avoidance signaling and a second subset of symbols configured for transmitting the data. The apparatus determines a subset of symbols of the first set of symbols within the set of RBs of the at least one subframe for transmitting at least one concatenated sequence. The apparatus transmits the at least one concatenated sequence in each symbol of the determined subset of symbols within the set of RBs of the at least one subframe to indicate that the data will be transmitted in the second set of symbols within the set of RBs of the at least one subframe.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe indicating per-packet quality of service (QoS) in communications by a wireless communications device. A packet from an application generated for a first radio access technology (RAT) can be obtained, where the packet includes a first QoS value associated with the first RAT, and/or the first QoS value can be mapped to a second QoS value associated with the second RAT. In another example, the QoS value can be indicated in the packet along with a reflective indicator indicating to use the QoS value in transmitting a response to the packet.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitting device may select an orthogonal metric based at least in part on at least one of each direction of a plurality of directions to transmit millimeter wave discovery signals or a location parameter associated with the transmitting device. The transmitting device may transmit, in the each direction of the plurality of directions, the millimeter wave discovery signals, where the each transmitted millimeter wave discovery signal has a different orthogonal metric applied that was selected based at least in part on the at least one of the each direction or the location parameter.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station (BS), an indication of an access link discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration and a sidelink DRX configuration. The access link DRX configuration and the sidelink DRX configuration may synchronize access link DRX operation and sidelink DRX operation of the UE. The UE may perform access link communication with the BS based at least in part on the access link DRX configuration and/or may perform sidelink communication with another UE based at least in part on the sidelink DRX configuration. Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a first user equipment (UE) establishes a radio resource control (RRC) connection for a communication session with a second UE, establishes a signaling radio bearer (SRB) for the communication session with the second UE on a first frequency band, sends, to the second UE over the SRB on the first frequency band, a first RRC message to establish a data radio bearer (DRB) for the communication session on a second frequency band, the first RRC message including one or more parameters for establishing the DRB on the second frequency band, and configures the DRB on the second frequency band based on the one or more parameters in the first RRC message and/or a device-to-device discovery procedure performed in the first frequency band.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine to use multi-cluster communications in a vehicle based communication network. The UE may identify a configuration parameter associated with the multi-cluster communications. The UE may select a cluster resource from a set of available cluster resources based on the configuration parameter. The cluster resource may include one or more clusters used for multi-cluster transmissions in the vehicle based communication network. The UE may transmit an indication of the selected cluster resource to a wireless node of the vehicle based communication network, for example, to another UE. The UE may transmit the multi-cluster transmission on the selected cluster resource.

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus for V2V, V2X, or D2D communication may be a transmitting device configured to determine a source ID for communication over a link, to determine a destination ID for the communication over the link based on a type of the communication. The transmitting device may be further configured to transmit at least one control message over the link, where the control message(s) indicate the source ID and the destination ID. In certain aspects, a receiving device may be configured to receive the control message over the link, where the control message indicates the source ID and the destination ID. The receiving device may be configured to receive a data message over the link and to determine whether to attempt to decode the data message received over the link based on the source ID and the destination ID indicated in the control message.

Abstract: A device receives a coded message from a re-transmitting device designated by one or more devices for performing message re-transmission on their behalf. The coded message encodes a first message and a second message, where the receiving device has failed to receive at least the second message. The receiving device further receives a coding-based re-transmission indicator indicating that the coded message is configured as a coding-based re-transmission of two or more previously transmitted messages that are encoded together in the coded message. The receiving device recovers the second message by decoding the coded message. In another aspect, a re-transmitting device is designated by one or more devices for performing message re-transmission on behalf of the devices. The device generates a coded message that encodes a first and a second message; and transmits the coded message and an indicator indicating that the coded message is a coding-based re-transmission.
