Abstract: A method of decoding video data includes predicting luma samples for a block of the video data using matrix intra prediction (MIP), where using MIP comprises down-sampling a set of luma neighboring samples to generate down-sampled luma neighboring samples. The method further includes predicting chroma samples for the block using cross-component linear model (CCLM) prediction, where using CCLM prediction comprises predicting the chroma samples for the block based on the down-sampled luma neighboring samples generated from the MIP. The method further includes determining a prediction block for the block based on the luma samples and the chroma samples, decoding a residual block for the block, and combining the prediction block and the residual block to decode the block.

Abstract: A device for processing video data includes a memory configured to store video data and one or more processors implemented in circuitry. The one or more processors are configured to select two or more subblocks of one or more blocks of video data and generate an affine motion model for a current block of video data using a subblock motion vector from each of the two or more subblocks as control-point motion vectors for the current block. The one or more processors are further configured to determine one or more prediction blocks based on the affine motion model and predict the current block with the one or more prediction blocks.

Abstract: A video coding device (e.g., a video encoder or a video decoder) is configured to perform various transformations on video data. The video coding device applies a primary transform to a block of the video data, the primary transform having a first size, and the sub-block being at least a portion of the block. The video coding device determines whether application of a secondary transform, having a second size, to a sub-block of the block is allowed. Application of the secondary transform is disallowed when the first size is equal to the second size. Based on the application of the secondary transform being allowed, the video coding device applies the secondary transform to the sub-block. Application of the primary transform and the secondary transform construct a residual block in a pixel domain.

The video coder may determine not to code a syntax element indicative of a multiple transform selection (MTS) for the transform block based at least in part on the determination of that the at least one coefficient group is outside of the lowest frequency region of the transform block. The video coder may code the video data based at least in part on the determination not to code the syntax element indicative of the multiple transform selection for the transform block.

Abstract: A video decoder is configured to determine a position of a last significant coefficient in a transform block of video data. The video decoder may then determine a value of a low-frequency non-separable transform (LFNST) index for the transform block based on the position of the last significant coefficient relative to a zero-out region of the transform block, wherein the zero-out region of the transform block includes both a first region within an LFNST region of the transform block and a second region of the transform block outside the LFNST region. The video decoder may then inverse transform the transform block in accordance with the value of the LFNST index.
