Abstract: A communication method and device are provided for communication in a point-to-multi-point communication network. A communication method includes receiving, by a node of a plurality of multi-point nodes, a transmission frame comprising a header including a repetition information and a data section comprising multiple modulation symbols, with at least two repeated modulation symbols that are repeated to represent a first modulation symbol; extracting, by the node, the repetition information of the header; recovering, by node, the amplitude of each modulation symbol of the at least two repeated modulation symbols; and combining, by the node, the amplitudes of the at least two repeated modulation symbols, based on the repetition information, to reconstruct the first modulation symbol represented by the at least two repeated modulation symbols.

Abstract: Examples described herein include systems and methods which include wireless devices and systems with examples of mixing input data with coefficient data specific to a processing mode selection. For example, a computing system with processing units may mix the input data for a transmission in a radio frequency (RF) wireless domain with the coefficient data to generate output data that is representative of the transmission being processed according to a specific processing mode selection. The processing mode selection may include a single processing mode, a multi-processing mode, or a full processing mode. The processing mode selection may be associated with an aspect of a wireless protocol. Examples of systems and methods described herein may facilitate the processing of data for 5G wireless communications in a power-efficient and time-efficient manner.

A parity interleaving apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a processor configured to generate a parity bit string for parity puncturing by segmenting parity bits of an LDPC codeword whose length is 16200 and whose code rate is 3/15, into a plurality of groups, and group-wise interleaving the groups using an order of group-wise interleaving; and memory configured to provide the parity bit string for parity puncturing to a parity puncturing unit.

Abstract: A co-packaged optical-electrical chip can include an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and a plurality of optical modules, such as optical transceivers. The ASIC and each of the optical modules can exchange electrical signaling via integrated electrical paths. The ASIC can include Ethernet switch, error correction, bit-to-symbol mapping/demapping, and digital signal processing circuits to pre-compensate and post-compensate channel impairments (e.g., inter-channel/intra-channel impairments) in electrical and optical domains. The co-packaged inter-chip interface can be scaled to handle different data rates using spectral efficient signaling formats (e.g., QAM-64, PAM-8) without adding additional data lines to a given design and without significantly increasing the power consumption of the design.

Abstract: Embodiments of the application provide a method for rate matching in a wireless communication network. A device obtains K information bits and a target code length M of a polar code, determines, according to a minimum value of a set of values, a mother code length N1, polar encodes the K information bits to obtain an encoded sequence of N1 bits, obtains a target sequence of M bits from the N1 bit encoded sequence, and outputs the M-bit target sequence. When the mother code length N1 is larger than the target code length M, (N1−M) bits of the encoded sequence are punctured or shortened from the N1 bit encoded sequence.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for a wireless transmitter device configured for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission to a wireless receiver device using one or more allocated resource unit (RU), wherein each RU is associated with a constituent encoding padding parameter. The method comprises determining an overall encoding padding parameter, and generating—based on the determined overall encoding padding parameter—a physical layer data packet for transmission to the wireless receiver device in the allocated RU(s). When exactly one RU is allocated for transmission to the wireless receiver device, the overall encoding padding parameter is determined as the constituent encoding padding parameter of the allocated RU. When more than one RU:s are allocated for transmission to the wireless receiver device, the overall encoding padding parameter is determined as a sum of the constituent encoding padding parameters of the allocated RU:s. Corresponding method for a wireless receiver device is also disclosed, as well as corresponding apparatuses, devices and computer program product.

In one embodiment, a method performed by a communication device, includes: associating a time slot with a data packet comprising a head portion and a tail portion, wherein the head portion comprises a communication device identifier and the tail portion comprises user data associated with the head portion; spreading the head portion into a first predetermined transmission format; spreading the tail portion into a second predetermined transmission format; and transmitting the spreaded head portion with the spreaded tail portion to a communication node, wherein the spreaded head portion comprises information to be used by the communication node for channel estimation and for decoding the tail portion to retrieve the user data.
