摘要: A method of fabricating a porous or partially porous three-dimensional metal article for use as a tissue ingrowth surface on a prosthesis. The porous article is formed using direct laser remelting in a cross section of a layer of metallic powder on a build platform without fusing thereto. The power, speed, spot size and beam overlap of the scanning laser is coordinated so that a predetermined porosity of the metallic powder can be achieved. Laser factors also vary depending from the thickness of the powder layer, type of metallic powder and size and size distribution of the powder particles. Successive depositing and remelting of individual layers are repeated until the article is fully formed by a layer-by-layer fashion. In an additional embodiment, a first layer of metallic powder may be deposited on a solid base or core and fused thereto.

摘要: A difference between each position command data outputted in a form of a step signal from a high-level controller and its corresponding detected position data of a movable body is integrated by an integral compensator to position the movable body. Assuming, for example, that the movable body is a steerable mirror, digital filters are arranged to compensate the value of an initial state of an angular displacement and the value of an initial state of an angular velocity, respectively, and respective impulse responses of the digital filters as additional input elements are added to an output terminal of the integral compensator. For higher effectiveness, internal state variables of the digital filters can desirably be cleared to zero whenever an angle (position) command data is received.

The laser machining apparatus includes: a laser oscillator emitting laser beams; a first dividing means on which the laser beams emitted from the laser oscillator are incident to be selectively divided so that the incident laser beams progress along at least one path from among a pair of first paths; a second dividing means on which the laser beams that passed through any one of the first paths are incident to be selectively divided so that the incident laser beams progress along at least one path from among a pair of second paths; a third dividing means on which the laser beams that passed through the other one of the first paths are incident to be selectively divided so that the incident laser beams progress along at least one path from among a pair of third paths; four pairs of scanners on which the laser beams that passed through the first, second, and third dividing means are incident to each be deflected onto desired positions on a substrate so as to be processed; and a scan lens on which the laser beams that passed through the four pairs of scanners are incident to be collected on a spot having a predetermined diameter and irradiated onto the substrate.

摘要: The present invention concerns the nose-piece of a laser-beam drilling head for a drilling machine, emitting a pulsed laser beam, where the drill head includes a resource which is suitable for mounting the nose-piece, where the nose-piece includes a first laser beam entry opening and a second pulsed laser beam exit opening and a beam focusing resource arranged upstream of the second opening, characterized by the fact that a mirror is positioned in the optical path of the laser beam downstream of the said beam-forming resource, so that the emerging beam forms an angle of less than 180° with the entering beam, and where the nose-piece includes a laser-beam fluid assisting feed that is arranged so that the said fluid is emitted via the second opening in the direction of the laser beam.

摘要: An object is to provide a method capable of boring a borehole even when quartz glass or silicon dioxide is deposited as molten dross by laser irradiation. A laser irradiation position of a workpiece is irradiated with a laser having wavelength of 1.2 μm or longer and a high factor of absorption into liquid, for example, a CO2 laser, from a laser oscillator through liquid. By high pressure generated in an advancing microbubble flow occurring in the liquid, molten dross is scattered. Thus, the processing, such as boring, of the rock is performed.

摘要: A laser beam irradiation apparatus includes an oscillation unit, an acousto-optic deflection unit for deflecting a laser beam oscillated by the oscillation unit, a condenser for condensing the deflected laser beam, and a control unit. The control unit determines an actual output power of the laser beam based on a light reception signal received from laser beam output detection means in response to a control signal for controlling a deflection angle adjustment unit of the deflection unit. Then, the control unit arithmetically operates the ratio of an actual output power corresponding to the control signal with reference to the lowest value of the actual output power. Further, the control unit arithmetically operates a correction value corresponding to the ratio of the actual output power to produce a control map and controls the output adjustment unit based on the control map.
