The dust collector includes a control module and a precipitation filter. The control module includes: a transformer module including a core having a pair of magnetic flux paths formed to contact each other, a second coil unit into which one of the pair of magnetic flux paths is inserted, and a first coil unit having a cylindrical shape to accommodate the second coil unit; a housing having a separated space in which the transformer module is accommodated; a PCB module disposed in another space of the housing; and a separation plate that separates the transformer module and the PCB module from each other.

Improvements in active field polarized media air cleaner include an aerodynamic front cowling to reduce static air resistance, a rear double hinge to reduce blow by, a resistive center screen permitting the sharing of high voltage power supplies while reducing the tendency to arc and allowing for a higher operational voltage, a dielectric media support frame to produce a more uniform electrostatic field and reduce blow by, while at the same time reducing the tendency to spray corona and/or arc at the edges of the center screen, a substantially flat conductive outer screen to produce a more uniform electrostatic field throughout the filter media and a high-voltage shield to reduce high-voltage arcing and the spraying of corona where the high-voltage probe contacts the center screen.
Abstract:
Devices for removing particles for a gas utilizing electrostatic precipitation having collector modules with fewer electrical connections, which facilitate cleaning, and/or eliminate the need for high voltage connections between a removable collector module and a collector module support. Driver electrode modules provide electrical connection between an insulated driver electrode and a source of electrical potential or between insulated driver electrodes and at least one other conductor through a hole in or on some edge on the driver electrodes. A biasing force is provided and a conductive element serves as a conductor between the driver electrode(s) and the other conductors. A plurality of insulated driver electrodes, e.g. plates, are formed with a single, conductive plate or from a plurality of electrically joined conductive plates which are coated with insulation and then bent. An electrically-shielded, high voltage generating circuit is integrated with a readily removable collector module to eliminate the need for high voltage connections between the removable collector module and the collector module support, while enhancing the device's durability and allowing cleaning with cleaning fluid and/or dishwasher detergent.

Abstract:
An illustrative filter includes an electret material, which has a long-lasting electric charge, that is at least partially coated or covered with a conductive layer. An optional insulation layer may be disposed over at least part of the conductive layer. If the electret material has a positive charge, then the filter attracts particles with a negative charge, and vice versa. The filter adsorbs the attracted particles until it becomes saturated with particles, at which point the conductive layer is charged to have a polarity that is opposite the built-in polarity of the electret and that matches the polarity of the adsorbed particles. The charged conduction layer repels the adsorbed particles from the filter, cleaning the filter for continued use.

In a leadthrough for an electrical high voltage conductor through a wall which separates a process area from an ambient area, comprising a body of a dielectric high voltage resistant material, two axially adjacent geometric base structures are provided, a cylinder and a truncated cone having a smaller diameter end adjacent the cylinder so that the cylinder has a radial annular surface area adjacent the truncated cone, and the cylinder includes axially extending gas supply bores arranged uniformly distributed over the circumference of the cylinder and having exit openings at the radial annular face of the cylinder such that gas supplied to the gas supply bores at the ambient area end of the cylinder is discharged from the gas supply bores onto the outer surface of the truncated cone to form a gas envelope around the truncated cone.
Abstract:
An air processing device is provided by which a current-carrying section is attached to a casing by an insulating member having a covering section covering an outer periphery face of a current-carrying section and a tube-like section in which a power source-side end of the covering section is supported by a tube bottom section. This consequently secures a long insulating distance from an electric discharge spray section and a charged dust collecting section via the current-carrying section to the casing. As a result, the respective electrodes and the casing can have an improved insulating performance therebetween even under an environment where water droplets are supplied.
