摘要: The present invention is an air purification method and device. Due to the lower airflow resistance that the present invention induces, an exhaust fan or blower with motor of lower torque is adopted. Consequently, the whole air purification is operated at a lower noise level. Lower operational voltage is applicable for the high-voltage electrostatic precipitator device and provides a similar or superior performance and effectiveness for dust removal. The air purification device/system is designed with higher flexibility and of more compact in dimension and size. Dust is removed from the environment by a high voltage electrostatic precipitator. The airflow stream within a high-voltage electrostatic precipitator is such that the direction of the path of the airflow is changed at least twice.

摘要: A method for filtering air includes: passing air through a prefilter disposed in a housing to remove at least a portion of particulates suspended in the air to thereby create prefiltered air; passing the prefiltered air by an ionizer disposed in the housing to ionize at least a portion of the particulates suspended in the air to thereby create ionized particulates in the prefiltered air, the ionizer downstream from the prefilter and upstream from the fan positioned to create an airflow within the housing; and prior to the prefiltered air exiting the housing with ionized particulates, causing the ionized particulates to pass through an electrostatically charged main filter disposed within the housing downstream from each of the ionizer and the fan.

摘要: A dust collection device can be fitted to windows in a room, thus not only cleaning air while ventilating air within a space targeted for cleaning but also cleaning air outside of the space. A dust collection device is constructed by laminating first insulation type electrodes and second insulation type electrodes alternately via spacers. The insulation type electrodes have a configuration in which both sides of first electrodes (second electrodes) are coated by first insulating layers (second insulating layers). Furthermore, a power supply is connected to the electrodes, and the electrodes are grounded. In addition, a plurality of first through holes (second through holes) is provided in rows in the insulation type electrodes. Furthermore, the positions of the through holes in the insulation type electrodes are arranged in a plane view so as to be a prescribed distance from the positions of the through holes in the insulation type electrodes.

摘要: A method and to a device for the electrostatic separation of fine dust particles from gases that flow through a housing (1) containing perforated plates (6) and electrodes (4, 5). An electric field is created between the electrode (4) on the inflow opening side and the electrode or electrodes (5) having positive polarity on the outflow side. The removal of negatively charged fine dust particles (9) is carried out by deposition on the inflow side of the perforated plates (6), and the removal of positively charged fine dust particles (11) is carried out on the outflow side. Fine dust particles without charge (10) are charged after the last perforated plate (6) in an ionisation chamber (8) and deposit on the outflow side of the last perforated plate (6).

摘要: Methods using vane electrostatic precipitators collect charged and uncharged particles with vane assemblies that are physically arranged to reduce the air flow rate to at or below 1.0 ft/sec (0.305 m/sec). In preferred embodiments, the main entrained air is divided into smaller proportions by using a plurality of vane assemblies in a vane electrostatic precipitator operating at a specific angle that have discharge electrodes in front of the vanes. This results in both the particles being charged and the flow rate of the air and articles being reduced as they traverse between vanes and over the vane surface. The vane width, operating angle, vane length and vane offset are designed to reduce the air flow rate. As a result, at the ends of the vanes, a high percentage of the air flow is less than 1 ft/s. This allows the particles that are discharged from the vanes during operation to fall by gravity and in the direction of lower air flow, resulting in extremely low re-entrainment and efficient particle collection.

摘要: An apparatus and method remove particulate matter from a gas. The apparatus has an inlet for receiving a contaminated gas having particulate matter, and for inducing a swirl to the contaminated gas. A cyclonic separation stage including a first flow-path is provided for separating a portion of the particulate matter from the swirl-induced contaminated gas by centrifugal action, to produce a partially clean gas. An ionization stage including a second flow-path is provided for ionizing the particulate matter remaining in the partially clean gas by producing a corona discharge in the second flow-path. A particle collection stage including a third flow-path is provided for separating the ionized particulate matter from the gas using an electric field across the third flow-path, to produce a clean gas. The ionization stage and the particle collection stage are arranged such that the third flow-path has an increased cross-sectional area relative to the second flow-path.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide an electric dust collector with its dust collecting performance being improved for collecting dust-like particles contained in a gas, whereas the increase in size thereof is being suppressed. An electric dust collector 10 distributes a gas G that has flown into a distribution chamber 90 to a plurality of charging flow paths 58 in a casing 12 thereof, causes the distributed gas to flow from insides of the charging flow paths 58 into internal flow paths 28 through mesh filters 30 that are formed as parts of the dust collecting electrodes 16 and that have large surface areas per unit volume. Then, the gas G is discharged to a central chamber 33 through internal outlets 32. Subsequently, the flow of the gas G is controlled to be discharged to the outside through a gas outlet 24.
