Abstract: A packaging material for a power storage material provided with a metal foil layer, a coating layer directly formed on a first surface of the metal foil layer or with a first corrosion prevention treatment layer interposed therebetween, a second corrosion prevention treatment layer formed on a second surface of the metal foil layer, an adhesive layer formed on the second corrosion prevention treatment layer, and a sealant layer formed on the adhesive layer. In the packaging material, the coating layer is formed from an active energy ray-curable resin composition that contains a urethane (meth)acrylate or an aqueous polyurethane dispersion, and the urethane (meth)acrylate is obtained through reaction between a polyol having an alicyclic structure, a polyisocyanate, and a hydroxyl group-containing (meth)acrylate.

Abstract: A device for use in a subterranean well can include a component which degrades in the well, the component being at least one of the group comprising: a) an electrical element which conducts electricity in the well, b) a magnetic element which produces a magnetic field in the well, and c) a substrate which structurally supports an electrical circuit. A method of constructing a device for use in a subterranean well can include determining an environmental condition to be experienced by a component of the device in the well, the component being at least one of the group comprising: a) an electrical element which conducts electricity in the well, b) a magnetic element which produces a magnetic field in the well, and c) a substrate which supports an electrical circuit; selecting the component which degrades when exposed to the environmental condition; and incorporating the component into the device.

Abstract: An energy storage device includes a housing having an interior surface defining a volume and a plurality of solid electrolyte elements disposed in the volume. Each solid electrolyte element has a first surface that defines at least a portion of a first, cathodic chamber, and a second surface that defines a second, anodic chamber. A plurality of individual anodic chambers are thus provided, at least one of which is evacuated below atmospheric pressure. A majority of anodic chambers can be spaced from one another in a manner that provides a substantially uniform reaction rate throughout the cathodic chamber. The housing and the plurality of solid electrolyte elements together may be configured to define a second volume devoid of solid electrolyte elements and that is sufficient in size to accommodate a desired number of solid electrolyte elements and to provide an accessible cathodic chamber filling point and that is further sufficient in size to alter the volume of the cathodic chamber with respect to the volume of the plurality of anodic chambers to achieve a desired volumetric ratio between the cathodic and anodic chambers.
