Abstract: A battery module may include a housing, a plurality of battery cells disposed in the housing, a battery terminal extending from the battery module for coupling the battery module with electrical components in the vehicle, and a contactor. A voltage supplied to a relay coil in the contactor may generate a magnetic field to actuate a contactor switch. The battery module may also include a printed circuit board (PCB) disposed in the housing. The PCB may include a relay control circuit configured to control a current flowing across the relay coil, and the relay control circuit may operate in a pull-in mode to transition the contactor switch into a closed position and in a hold mode to maintain the contactor switch in the closed position.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a lithium-ion battery module including a housing having a base, a battery cell in the housing, and a battery module terminal coupled to the battery cell via an electrical pathway, wherein the battery module terminal provides an electrical output when coupled to an electrical load, and wherein the electrical pathway is defined by a first portion, a second portion, and an interconnecting portion connecting the first and second portions. The first portion has a plurality of first conductive components coupled to one another within first connection planes using a first conductive material, and the first connection planes are substantially parallel to the base. The second portion has a plurality of second conductive components coupled to one another within second connection planes using a second conductive material, different from the first conductive material, and the second connection planes are crosswise to the first connection planes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a storage-battery vent cap which adjusts an internal pressure of a storage battery by exhausting a gas generated inside the storage battery to the outside and blocking inflow of external air. The vent cap includes a cylindrical body installed in a vent hole of the battery and formed with an exhaust hole; a cylindrical insert coupled to the body, a partition being formed inside the insert and a coupling hole and a air vent being formed in the partition; and a valve fixed to the coupling hole and elastically deformed by an internal pressure of the battery to open the air vent. The valve has an umbrella-like shape including a valve body having a larger diameter than that of the coupling hole, a cover formed on an outer circumferential surface of the valve body, and a fixing portion downwardly protruded from the valve body.
