摘要: Provided is a lead-acid battery where a positive electrode shelf and a negative electrode shelf are electrically connected to each other through a penetrating connection body including a welded portion filled in a penetration hole in a partition wall. A distance A between upper end surfaces of the positive and negative electrode shelves and a lower end portion of the penetration hole is 3-5 mm, a distance B between an upper end portion of the penetration hole and an upper end portion of the penetrating connection body is 3-5 mm, a distance C between the upper end portion of the penetrating connection body and a level of the electrolyte solution is 0 mm or more, and a height of the positive and negative electrode grid portions is 100 mm or more.

摘要: An embodiment is directed to a multi-layer contact plate configured to establish electrical bonds to battery cells in a battery module. The multi-layer contact plate includes two or more primary conductive layers (e.g., Al, Cu, etc.), and a cell terminal connection layer (e.g., steel, Al, Cu, etc.) that is joined with, and sandwiched by, the two or more primary conductive layers. A portion of the cell terminal connection layer is configured to form a set of bonding connectors (e.g., bonding ribbons) to provide a direct electrical bond between the multi-layer contact plate and terminals (e.g., positive terminals, negative terminals, or a combination thereof) of at least one group of battery cells (e.g., a single group of battery cells, two groups of battery cells that are connected in series, etc.).

摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to a battery module having a housing and a stack of battery cells disposed in the housing. Each battery cell has a battery cell terminal and a battery cell vent on an end of each battery cell, and the battery cell vent is configured to exhaust effluent into the housing. The battery module has a vent shield plate disposed in the housing and directly along an immediate vent path of the effluent, a first surface of the vent shield plate configured to direct the effluent to an opening between the shield plate and the housing, and a second surface of the vent shield plate opposite the first surface. The battery module also has a venting chamber coupled to the opening and at least partially defined by the second surface and a vent configured to direct the effluent out of the battery module.

摘要: A battery module may include a housing, a plurality of battery cells disposed in the housing, a battery terminal extending from the battery module for coupling the battery module with electrical components in the vehicle, and a contactor. A voltage supplied to a relay coil in the contactor may generate a magnetic field to actuate a contactor switch. The battery module may also include a printed circuit board (PCB) disposed in the housing. The PCB may include a relay control circuit configured to control a current flowing across the relay coil, and the relay control circuit may operate in a pull-in mode to transition the contactor switch into a closed position and in a hold mode to maintain the contactor switch in the closed position.

摘要: A battery module includes a housing and battery cells disposed in the housing, each of the battery cells including two terminals. The battery module also includes bus bar cell interconnects including a first material, where each bus bar cell interconnect is configured to electrically couple two adjacent battery cells via an electrical coupling with a first terminal of one of the adjacent battery cells and a second terminal of the other adjacent battery cell, where at least one of the first and second terminals includes the first material. The battery module includes welds, each weld being disposed at a corresponding welding point to directly couple one of the bus bar cell interconnects with the corresponding at least one terminal including the first material. Each welding point is accessible for welding from a position above the battery cells when the interconnects are disposed over the battery cells.
