摘要: An energy production device including a frame, a body, first and second aligned input shafts projecting from two opposite faces of the body, and a third input shaft aligned with an output shaft. The direction of the first and second input shafts is perpendicular to the direction of the third input shaft and of the output shaft. A mechanical connection is provided at the proximal part of each of the shafts which is within the body. The mechanical connection operates with a transmission system within the body so that any rotation movement on any of the input shafts is converted into a unidirectional rotation movement on the output shaft. A distal end of the third input shaft is fixed to the frame. A bearing is fixed on the frame, into which the distal end of the output shaft is freewheeling. A first pendulum is mounted on a bearing at the distal end of the first input shaft to pivot around the first input shaft and a second pendulum mounted on a bearing at the distal end of the second input shaft to pivot around the second input shaft.

摘要: A wave energy converter (WEC) 10 has a body portion 18 with a face 20 and at least one flexible membrane 16 bounding at least part of a volume of a fluid to form a variable volume cell 22. The membrane is inclined from vertical providing a flow smoothed passage for wave energy from a wave 14 to travel over the WEC whilst deforming the at least one membrane towards the body to compress the fluid. The cell(s) can be submerged or floating. The inclination of the at least one membrane assists conversion of potential and kinetic energy of the wave to pressure within the fluid. Fluid pressure within the WEC cell(s) and/or system can be optimised to suit wave and/or performance conditions.

摘要: A method for generating electrical power for a port. The method includes providing a power generator, where the power generator is secured to a structure within a port and converts energy within a body of water to electrical power. The method also includes providing a power storage, where the power storage is configured to receive the electrical power from the power generator and store the electrical power for future use. The method further includes a power transfer, where the power transfer is configured to direct the electrical power from the power storage to the location of use within the port.

摘要: A water power generator for generating electrical energy from a moving body of water comprising structural means interposed in the path of water flow. The structural means includes at least one side wall which is longitudinally curved from a diverting point at the outer end thereof to a gradually flattened curve at the inner end thereof. The wall is transversely curved from a generally planar surface at the outer end thereof to a curvature approaching circular at the inner end thereof. Cowling means is positioned at the inner end of the side wall, and turbine generator means is located at the outer end of said cowling means. In certain forms of the invention, two or more longitudinally and transversely curved side walls are provided, each having an associated cowling and turbine generator. The invention is adaptable to wave action, tidal action and river current environments.

摘要: A wave powered electric generator using direct energy conversion is described which includes, within a water and airtight, buoyant envelope tethered to a fixed point relative to the sea bottom, one or more stators and one or more elements moveable by the force of inertia, the relative motion of the moveable element within the stator generating electricity. Also within the buoyant envelope is a rectifier for rectifying the electric energy generated by the moveable element, and power transmission means for supplying the generated and rectified electric energy to a power station. In a preferred embodiment, a conductive fluid is employed as a moveable element, this fluid being passed through a concentrated magnetic field, the resultant electrical power being tapped by electrodes whose axis preferably is orthagonal to the field and direction of fluid motion.
