摘要: An apparatus and method for extracting energy from an oscillating working fluid, such as ocean waves includes an apparatus (10) having an internal flow passage (40) for the working fluid, a turbine (44) and a flow control device (38), each of the turbine (44) and the flow control device (38) being in direct fluid communication with the flow passage (40), where the flow control device is selectively moveable between a first configuration in which the flow control device is open to allow a flow of the working fluid, such as air, to exit the flow passage therethrough, and a second configuration in which the flow control device restricts a flow of the working fluid therethrough, the working fluid then entering the flow passage via the turbine, which can be harnessed to generate electricity.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for wave power generation. In one aspect, a wave power generator device includes a stator assembly and a rotor assembly encased within a tube frame. The stator assembly includes an array of inductor coils in a fixed position within a cavity of the tube frame and a plurality of bearings coupled to the tube frame. The rotor assembly includes a turbine rotor having a central hub and peripheral blades coupled to a high inertia annular flywheel that is moveably engaged with the bearings of the stator assembly, and an array of magnets arranged to be evenly spaced and of alternating axial polarity from one another extending from the annular flywheel into the cavity between the array of inductor coils, such that electric currents are produced based on magnetic field interaction of the magnets with the inductor coils during the rotation of the annular flywheel.

摘要: A floating power generation station comprises a floating hull with a shelter structure containing photovoltaic solar panels are arranged on a chain of floats, each hinged one to the next. The system can be deployed onto a large flat area, e.g., surface of inlet or bay, where the solar panel chain(s) can be extended out. The power generation station may include air displacement tubes that have a lower end immersed in water, and which feed into a plenum where check valves direct air unidirectionally to an air turbine that powers an electric generator. Air turbines or wind turbines on the barge can be raised or tipped up for collection of wind energy. The captured energy is stored on a bank of on-board storage batteries. Energy can be collected and stored, and the barge can be brought to shore when and where needed. This arrangement can be configured for ground-based deployment. The power generation station can be configured for use on dry land.

摘要: A wave energy converter (100) is provided which comprises a heaving buoy point absorber (122) having a surface piercing float (120) operably coupled to an adjustable reference mass (125) defining a volume for accommodating sea water therein. The surface piercing float and the adjustable reference mass are configured to move together in response to passing waves. A chamber (105) provided within the surface piercing float is in fluid communication with the sea for trapping a volume of air above an enclosed column of water. The height of the enclosed column of water varies as the point absorber reacts against its surface via an adjustable air-spring. A power take off (140) is configured for being driven by a stream of vented air in communication with the chamber as the heaving buoy point absorber reacts against a trapped volume of air. A control mechanism is configured for tuning one or more operating characteristics of the heaving buoy point absorber.

摘要: A buoyant wave energy device is disclosed that incorporates an open-bottomed tube of substantial length in which is partially enclosed a first body of water that oscillates in response to wave action. The device incorporates a buoy to which an upper end of the tube is connected and inside of which is trapped a second body of water of substantial mass. A differential phase in the oscillations of the water trapped in the tube, and the oscillations of the buoy of augmented mass, result in the periodic compression of a pocket of air trapped at the top of the tube, and in the subsequent expulsion of pressurized air through a turbine, thereby generating electrical power.

摘要: A method for driving a transmission mechanism output power in response to an anticipated fluid-pressure gradient field is provided. The method includes sensing the change of direction of pressure gradient field at a desired location from the different area of the transmission mechanism within fluid. The method further includes constructing fluid-pressure gradient field based upon isolation-fluid apparatus or low-density fluid space installed on a transmission mechanism within fluid.

摘要: A device (OWC Oscillating Water Column) for capturing wave energy, the upper part of which contains a pressure accumulator (3) connected to the atmosphere through a unidirectional outlet turbine (4) and a vacuum accumulator (6) connected to the atmosphere through a unidirectional inlet turbine (5). The lower portion is formed by at least one block, where each block is made up of a structural column (19), which when submerged in the water gives rise to a water column (8) and an air chamber (1) in the upper portion. Each block is connected to the pressure accumulator (3) through a non-return intake valve (2), and to the vacuum accumulator (6) through a non-return exhaust valve (7), and having an inlet (16) arranged in the lower portion of each structural column (19).One of the main characteristics of the device is that the pressure (3) and vacuum (6) accumulators act as an air manifold, inhaling and exhaling through the blocks, and at the same time damping sudden changes in pressure.
