    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, and disinfectant monitoring devices that may be utilized to overcome technical limitations associated with conventional hand hygiene compliance systems, but are not so limited. A hand hygiene monitoring system includes a disinfectant monitoring device comprising a soap or disinfectant dispenser that includes one or more sensors including an accelerometer, a radar sensor, and/or a passive infrared (PIR) sensor. The PIR and/or radar sensor can be used to detect a number of people located at a site of the soap dispenser and the accelerometer can be used to determine whether soap has been dispensed. The hand hygiene monitoring system is configured to activate one of a display and a sound device present on each individual who has not used the soap dispenser and/or output compliance or non-compliance data.

    Abstract: Conjoined solar module, and a joining unit for conjoining multiple solar panels. A mechanical joining unit has two back-to-back elongated rails. The first elongated rail has an elongated hollow cavity, and receives therein a set of beads or mushroom-shaped protrusions or lollipop-shaped protrusions that are connected to an edge of a first solar panel. Similarly, the second elongated rail has an elongated hollow cavity, and receives therein a set of beads or mushroom-shaped protrusions or lollipop-shaped protrusions that are connected to an edge of a second solar panel. Optionally, the mechanical joining unit has an additional elongated rail that defines an elongated cavity for storing metal wires that transport electricity generated by the solar panels. Optionally, each solar panel is flexible or rollable.

    Abstract: A radiation shielded vault structure includes a rigid outer structure comprising a plurality of rigid structural components that are interconnected at elongated joints to define an interior space. The structural components include a layer of lower atomic number (Z) material such as aluminum alloy and one or more layers of higher atomic number (Z) material titanium and/or tantalum. The vault structure may include radiation shield members extending along the elongated joints to provide radiation shielding at the elongated joints. The shield members comprise a higher atomic number (Z) material such as titanium or tantalum. The rigid structural components may comprise plate members that are interconnected along side edges thereof. End plates may be attached to the plate members to close off the interior space.
